Now closed – Normally I love tiny venues and I totally adore Coco de Ville but not so much love for Boudoir. Normally the One Group from New York never fails to impress so I'm not sure what went wrong with Boudoir.
As Coco de Ville, I really loved the spot. Small, Exclusive, super hard to get in to and always with celeb sightings. Boudoir is like the less attractive sister.
Lets make something clear, this is not a club. This is a lounge, the music should be more eclectic and not as loud, the crowd should be older, more attractive, better dressed, more chilled and less pretentious.
On all the nights I went, the DJs were so amateurish. I'm not sure if its the same DJ but Ive not been impressed once. If you don't like small venues, don't visit Boudoir. Its about the size of my two bedroom apartment.
I would have preferred a totally different name (Boudoir at Coco de Ville? What?), a totally different interior design, a totally different set of DJs. I guess Coco de Ville was a hard act to follow.
However, to be extremely honest and fair, its a good venue with a decent crowd, a good location especially with all the near by restaurants. Its unfair to compare it to Coco de Ville but I guess they asked for it by calling it Boudoir at Coco de Ville. I don't see it lasting as long as its predecessor especially since the top Hollywood promoters have already rejected it.
If there was ever a strong case for a members only club, Boudoir is one.

Citysearch Editorial Review – Formerly the home of the STK-adjacent celebrity hot spot Coco De Ville, this softer version of the once vibrantly-hued lounge comes in the form of a more posh Parisian-themed scene. While the interior is geared to lure the likes of a more serious crowd, don't be too fooled by its sophisticated tufted couches and dangling chandeliers. The party still kicks off as soon as the red velvet ropes are unhinged ... if you're lucky enough to step into this A-list attraction. Just remember, gone are the days of walking in with just a (studded) T-shirt and jeans--only upscale dressers are allowed.
