Xoia combines Vietnamese and Mexican flavors that pack a whole lotta punch. Their fusion tacos are tasty! I especially love their Hoi An chicken rice and Mi Quang takes me back to central Vietnam.

A little Mexican, a whole lot Vietnamese. Try pho beef tacos with smoky salsa or crispy potato curry tacos. Rare beef pho broth is super flavorful, Mi Quang is delish.

I usually deter from anything "fusion" (Kogi is except), but Xoia does the marrying of Mexican and Vietnamese quite well. Their pho is solid, as are their vermicelli noodles. My favorite, though, are their potato tacos. P.S. The mint sparkling limeade with crushed ice hits the spot on ridiculously hot days.

Awesome Vietnamese mexican fusion. Get paprika pork tacos, crispy curry potato and carrot tacos, Banh Xeo crepes. Lots of food for little $$

Citysearch Editorial Review – Taking up residence in what used to be a paint shop next to Echo Park's El Prado, this smart Vietnamese eatery is a sign of the gentrified times. The bright, modern space is sleek but simple; white walls are warmed up with vibrant modern art, glossy red chairs and a funky spider-esque light fixture hovering near the entry. Outside, a spacious enclosed patio offers a step up from table-on-the-sidewalk style alfresco dining. The brainchild of a Vietnamese-Mexican couple, the fare goes fusion here and there, resulting in tasty creations like a lemongrass pork carnitas banh mi and pho beef tacos that actually taste like the namesake soup, thanks to an infusion of broth. Beyond the obligatory spring rolls, starters include Vietnamese crepes (banh xeo) with shrimp and pork, or tofu and portobella mushrooms, both served with herbs, lettuce and peanut sauce. Pho and banh mi (including vegetarian options) are safe bets, but you'll also find the less common mi quang, a Hoi An specialty made with thick yellow noodles, shrimp, pork, mint and sesame crackers. To drink, try the housemade mint limeade soda or a good ol' bottle of Mexican Coke. While purists may not appreciate the fusion factor, those looking for a flavor-packed meal for under ten bucks will not be disappointed.
