This place is slammed from opening until close, but the kitchen cranks it out efficiently. Everybody has got to try the rightly famous burger, but it's the crinkle cut fries and hand-mixed milkshakes that won me over.
Can I get some fries with that shake! – And I'll take a double cheeseburger and a beer too! Don't let the long lines winding out the door and around the corner and the totally packed dinning room scare you off. The lines move relatively quickly and by that time someone is usually exiting and leaving a table open. The burgers are great. The vanilla milkshake trumps the chocolate, in my opinion. If you are stopping by just for something cold like a shake or ice cream or drink, head directly into the "C Line" C = cold get it. This line goes faster so don't fret and don't walk away from a delicious milkshake just because of the line.
thank you for opening up everywhere – I was hanging out with my lady friend Marisa in the city. We noticed Shake shack open on the block so we decided to give it a chance. I think it is much better food then five guys and some of these diners that we ate in. I had the double burger with fries and a drink for the two of us it was only $14.00 bucks. It was a great deal we even both loved the location they just opened in the Fulton mall right at the mall entrance address 409 Fulton st check it out closest trains the 2,3,4 and the 5 take you right there lets hope this burger chain does really well.
Juicy Burger and thick shake – Shake Shack invaded Time Sq! I am secretly happy that Shake Shack is kind of near my work and it certainly will help relieve the long wait at the Madison Sq Park location. Besides, you can sit down and enjoy a good burger and shake without worrying about the bug bites or weather.
My favorite is their burger and their custard/shakes. Their burgers have special sauce that make them extra tasty. You can also try the Shake Stack, which is my boyfriend's favorite but I don't really recommend it unless you want cholesterol high!
Their soft serve and shakes are creamy and my favorites are the black and white as well as peanut butter shake.
All l can say is after a burger or/and a shake, you definitely need to shake it off!
Another Shake Shack – Hmmm. The Shake shack, where you get to stand in a mind boggling long line to buy marginally adequate food.
That's really what the summation of this place is all about.
There was no "juicy" burger, or "tasty" shake to be had.
You can go just about anywhere else in NYC and get better quality 'everything', with out standing in the "look at what kind of idiot I am" line waiting for some grub.
I went twice, EVER. Once by myself, and once with the girlfriend to see if she would/could backup my disappointment. Alas, she was not impressed either.
Have a nice day shake shackers...
Maybe if Osama Bin Laden opened a Shake shack, you'd go there too.
Citysearch Editorial Review – One expects maddening crowds near Times Square, but now there’s actually a good reason to join the masses in midtown. The newest location of Manhattan’s fave burger joint features all the things you’d expect from the walk-through chainlet: juicy burgers and hot dogs, shakes and fries, counter service and, of course, long lines. The Theater District location features recycled materials like barn-wood siding and tables made from repurposed bowling alley lanes, along with three original “concretes” (chef Danny Meyer’s word for Shake Shack’s famous frozen blended custards): the Great White Way (vanilla custard, marshmallows and crispy crunchies), Pretzel! The Concrete (chocolate custard, peanut butter, chocolate covered pretzels and marshmallow) and Jelly’s Last Donut (vanilla custard, Doughnut Plant donuts, strawberry preserves and cinnamon sugar). Together with the burgers, they’re a great and worthwhile reward for braving Times Square.
