So far best Italian food I've had on Mulberry St. in years! – From the first step inside of the restaurant you feel like you are dinging in Italy. The colors are warm and the tables are nicely spaced so you are not sitting next to other patrons. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Leo was great at feeling us at home. My mother has been searching for the best lasagna around and I think she finally had it here. I've been searching for someone who's risotto measures up to mine and I found it here! Topped with the most amazing fall of the bone Osso mouth is watering thinking about it now. The food was definately comforting and if you plan on eating there you MUST have their garlic bread. THE BEST I've ever had anywhere!!!! BTW...great prices also!!! We have finally find our "spot" to have great Italian food!! Definately a place to Mangia Mangia!!

The Best of Italy - right there in NYC – My family has been going to Sofias of Little Italy for a year now. We absolutely love it. The staff (especially Rudy) is outstanding, and extremely welcoming for out-of-towners. They helped us celebrate a birthday like no one ever before with superb food and service. We love the Chicken Parm, Veal, and seafood. We had never been to little Italy before, and were very surprised at the quality, taste, and quantity of food for a reasonable price. We ate outside on the street a few weeks ago and what fun it was watching all the people, and enjoying great food. The pasta was perfect for my kids and we always leave feeling like we got our money's worth, and want to go back soon. We love the atmosphere and it really feels like you are in Italy with the music and great food. The wait staff makes you feel welcome and is always prompt. The check in often and want to make sure you have a great meal and experience while there. Rudy is our favorite waiter because he is funny and on his game as a server. Last time, we saw him help a guest on the cell phone and walked 3 blocks to go meet them just so they could find Sofia's location and meet up with their party. How cool is that! We will go back every time we are in NYC, and our family definitely recommends SOFIA'S OF LITTLE ITALY (on Mulberry Street, NYC). Please take the walk and go see Rudy and the staff for a meal and experience to remember. It is family oriented (or private areas in the back) and a great value!

Best of Little Italy – We travelled to NYC with our girl scout troop and of course wanted to experience Little Italy at it's best. We chose Sofia's of Little Italy and we made the right choice.

We had reservations, but came early (not being from NY we had a hard time estimating how long it takes to get somewhere). Still we were seated immediately and waited on right away.

Even so it was painfully clear that as a girl scout troop we had very little money to spend, the service was excellent. Bless the waiter that will go out of his way to take care of all your needs even so he doesn't expect you to tip well. By the way, we did end up tipping nicely. The man really deserved it.

The insalata was a delicious sampling of various greens with balsamic vinaigrette. The crusty bread with olive oil was absolutely wonderful. And the pasta to die for. All the girls had fettuccini alfredo, the leaders had spaghetti marinara and penne vodka. Every dish done to perfection, pasta all dente, sauce so yummy you don't want to spill a drop.

This is a wonderful palce to go to and well worth the price.

ridiculously good – I came here on saturday night food and service were amazing

i had the fresh lobster ravioli. i'm so happy that it was actually fresh you can taste the difference -- plus the seafood broddo and asparagus sauce was to die for

not like every other little italy place, really worth a look
