Citysearch Editorial Review – There’s an abundance of Americanized Asian eats in the city, but finding authentic stuff like kimchi ramen--a blend of tofu, pork belly and a poached egg that’s served in a sizable black pot and bears no resemblance to the ten-cent ramen of your coed days-- now that’s a challenge. This zen Ukrainian Village haunt aims to stay true to its Japanese roots, from the crisp décor to the exceedingly fresh seafood, and serve up an experience that’s more Tokyo than Chicago. The dining room is bright and inviting, with a skylight and French doors lending an al fresco aesthetic for the casual-chic clientele as they work through the list of cold and hot apps (steamed sake mussels are a crowd-pleaser), noodle and rice bowls and sushi.
