INSANE HALLOWEEN PARTY – I go in, thinking "this will be another typical club experience thats gonna cost me an arm and a leg. The pricing at the door, and at the bar was surprisingly moderate. The bottle service was half priced before a certain time (cant remember the time). The halloween festivities were as entertaining as can get. The atmosphere was Comfortable yet upbeat. The staff was welcoming, and on point. The bartenders are heavy handed, and HOT! I plan on going back many more times.
Stress Free Salsa – It's like home. No fuss, no muss, no stress, no mess just Great live music, an excellent DJ, a mature crowd an dancing, dancing, dancing. That's what it's about & I absolutely love it! Salsa till you're tired or join the boogie train next room. I go from room to room & it's wonderful. Come & experience it for yourself.
Great Place – I went to Columbus 72 for their Friday after work party , I had heard a rumor that they were changing it up since the re-opening of Copacabana and i was pleasantly surprised with the changes. They extended the two for one drinks till 9pm. This was very convenient for me since I generally work later hours in the evenings and can still partake in this special. The buffet has more of an Italian style to it as they served a salad and 4 kinds of pasta. The music was a nice mix of both Spanish and American music. I am definitely going to make this one of my after work hang out.
Great Halloween Party!!! – I was here for the Columbus 72 Halloween Party on Saturday 10/30. Even though there was a long line it was worth the wait. Suggest coming here for a good time.
One of the best in Manhattan – Went here on a Friday night with some friends from school. We were treated very well at the door, and given Free Admission. The DJ's were awesome and so was the atmosphere and crowd. Will definitely make this a regular hang out.
BEST spot to get ripped off! – The three times I called throughout the week, I got inconsistent answers about the time and prices of Salsa classes. The first bartender was offended that I even ask such a dumb question; apparently she never got the message the club offers classes as it says online. 2/3 bartenders said there were classes Tue/Fri for $5 at 8pm.
I got there early. I was charged $10 instead of $5 and lady at the door says classes were already starting so I just went with it. After half an hour and asking 3 different staff members, one said there were no classes, the other two said it started at 8:30...I could see I was not the only one waiting for classes and no one, including the owner knew where the teacher was.
The lady at the door changed her answer about the class starting time when I asked her at 8:45pm. By the time it had passed 9PM (the time classes were supposed to be done), everyone kept saying the classes were starting, though no one knew when. I asked for a refund since the there was obviously no salsa class and the owner or the lady charging covers wouldn't give me any money back.
In response to your review, we find this very hard to believe. We have had the same people working in our office for the last 4 years. They know the times and schedules of all events at our club. We never charge for the Salsa Lessons as we offer them complimentary at our afterwork parties on Tuesdays & Fridays. We however do charge a small cover if your not on the guestlist for either of those parties. We do apologize if you may have been confused regarding the times or policy.
