Citysearch Editorial Review – Housed in a microscopic storefront (most recently home to Persimmon Restaurant), this Mediterranean eatery is nicely suited to upper-Fremont’s neighborhood culture. The space itself is deep crimson and cavernous, with half a dozen tables and even fewer seats at the well-manned bar. A sidewalk chalk board, casually scribbled on daily, entices passers-by with drink and dinner specials. The menu itself, meat-intensive but fairly priced, draws influence from rustic, Spanish cuisine: chorizo and harissa embellish classics like mussels and paella, while more inventive options include smoked, grape leaf-wrapped lamb or wild boar osso bucco laden with gremolata.
