This is a hidden gem, just down the Harbor Steps near the Seattle Art Museum. The burning desire in the kitchen is to share foods they love and you can see the care that goes into dishes such as the outstanding housemade sausage with lentils as well as the porchetta. It's not all about the pig, though. Seafood is stellar, especially the pan-roasted black cod. An excellent late-night happy, too.

If you were an original Matt's in the Market fan you'll love Lecosho. Exceptional wines & ingredients shine in Mediterranean inspired fare.
Unexpected Seafood Delight. I didn't go to Lecosho expecting great seafood, but I was in the mood, so I gave it a try. I went with the Alaskan Halibut and grilled octopus. Both were simply prepared and full of flavor without being too fishy. I was also really impressed with the wine selection. I can't wait to go back and try some of the meat dishes. If they're anything like the seafood, I will be a happy person.
Great food at Lecosho. It was our second time to Lecosho for Happy Hour last night. Terrific food. The sausage was juicy and flavorful, the lentils were tender, and the egg was perfectly cooked. The clams were buttery; the sardine tartine was mouthwatering. The combination of flavors were satisfying on all levels. It's a pretty place and was packed by 6:30 on a Monday night. We WILL go back -- and soon.
Great new restaurant from the creator of Matts in the Market.
Had an amazing dinner at Lecosho last night. Everything was as I would expect from the creator of Matt;s in the Market, my former favorite restaurant in Seattle. I had the pleasure of tasting a variety of appetizers including the duck confit, the house made sausage, the octopus (seriously the greatest thing I had all night long) and the bibb lettuce wedge. First of all, who would have thought to make a bibb lettuce wedge salad and WHY didn't someone think of it before now? Dinner consisted of the perfectly prepared lamb chops as well as a sampling of the pork chop from my friend. Both amazing - and I don't usually order pork chops from restaurants since they are usually dry - these were anything but.
Great wine selection too. I put my selection in Matt's hands and he did not dissapoint. Not only will I eat there again - I am taking a larger group back TONIGHT! We are on per diems and we can eat like kings here as everything is reasonably priced.
