Great latin restaurant in Park Slope – We got there on Friday night and were seated after just a few minutes. The place was packed. Inside the atmosphere is cozy and the service veryfriendly.
We ordered the papas rellenas, a side order of the maduros (sweet fried plantains), an order of pernil with rice and beans and one steak burrito.
We also tried on the chips and salsa. Chips were fresh, crunchy and not oily (a plus), salsa was fine too.
We were pleasantly surprised by the plating of the papas rellenas as well as the rich flavor - (tangy pickled onions, the softness of the potato, the mild spiciness of the salsa).
Our entrees arrived just a moment later. The pernil, roast pork, was juicy and with a lot of flavor with very delicious black beans on the side. The rice was simple, but still flavorful. Sweet plantains were ripe and ever so slightly crispy on the outside - YUM. The burrito was yummy as well.
We definitely recommend this place. They also have some substantive veggie options. The service was friendly and attentive .
We're excited that Mama Rosá Latino ( a lot of colombian, venezuelan and ecuadorean influence) has arrived in our neighborhood and look forward to future visits.
