Waste of money and time! Bought a Groupon months ago for my boyfriend on our anniversary and I finally decided to schedule an appointment for him since he's had some downtime. The first time I scheduled the appointment I received a phone call 3 hours before his scheduled appointment telling me that they had to reschedule due to their massage therapists walking out! The second scheduled appointment I had, I never received a phone call and my boyfriend's appointment was cancelled due to 1 massage therapists walking out (yet again) and the other in a car accident! Not only was my boyfriend out of a massage, we also dealt with the owner who seemed like it was too much of a bother to get off of her Kindle right away to deal with an apology immediately. Not only did my boyfriend's appointment never happen, trying to get a hold of anyone at this spa is almost impossible no one ever answers the phone and if you leave a message no one will return it.

Worst Massage Ever! – I would give this place 0 stars if I could. This is the absolute worst massage I have ever had and was thankful that she started it late and ended it early! I usually soak up every minute of a massage but regardless of the repeated attempts to explain what she was doing wrong she kept doing it. La Pure canceled on me 2 other times before this and I should have taken that as a sign not to go! This place is AWFUL!

Terrible experience – I went to this spa for my microdermabrasion which I purchased from Groupon. When I got to that place, I was shocked of how filthy the place was. I went to use the bathroom which was also duty. I waited for nearly 40 minutes before I was called in.

As I waiting for her in the room I looked around. The room was also filthy with no running water but a large aluminum pot she used for hot water. The most shocking part was after she placed me in the room and started an argument with someone outside the room. It is a small place and I could hear every single word. I heard her saying "I have no money and I have to pay for all the bills here". It sounded to me that the person she was arguing with was trying to get paid and she was giving her a hard time.

At some point I heard a male voice saying to her "mom stop arguing there is a client in here". She was still talking loud and I thought they were going to have a fist fight. Then I heard the lady saying, I am guessing she was talking to the guy, "she is very greedy and she will never have good people here". All this argument was going while I was laying on the table. She finally came back in the room and did not have the decency to apologize to me after making me wait for so long while she fussed with the other lady. I don't think that anyone should be subjected to that kind of treatment. I was very uncomfortable because I could feel her vibes and they were not good. I will never go back there. I am warning everyone to stay away from this filthy, loud and unprofessional place .

Very disappointing – I bought a 3 massage groupon about 6 months ago. I've been trying to use my massages since then with very little luck. I have had 3 of my 4 appointments canceled/rescheduled the day before the appointment.

The one time I did get in to have a massage, I was pretty disgusted by the cleanliness of the place. I had to ask to have the face cover on the massage table changed because I could see hairs and grease on it because it had not been changed since the last customer.

The massage did feel good. I will give her credit for that. However, it lasted less than 45min, and the massage was supposed to be an hour. Not sure if that's normal or not?

I'm considering reporting to Groupon and asking for my money back.

Don't Be A Sucker!!! – I went to this place last week after purchasing a microdermabrasion pkg. through Groupon (I bought it after checking out their website, and it looked great). This place was terrible! I don't know where they got the pics they used on their website, but it is definitely not their "spa!" I don't know how they can legally call this place a spa. Their space is connected to a gym in a seedy-looking parking lot. When I checked in at the desk, I was told the microdermabrasion machine was broken, and the part should've been there that morning, but it never arrived. I found this strange since they called me earlier that day to ask if I wanted to take an earlier slot for my microdermabrasion treatment. Interesting since they knew the machine was out of order. I was asked to stay for a complimentary facial anyway, so I did. I was shown into a room in the back that looked like a storage area with a bed in it. There was a bunch of random crap everywhere, and it was a mess. She told me to change into the spa wrap and then left the room, only to walk back in on me half naked about 20 seconds later, without knocking. As for the facial itself, she used her bare hands (no tool) for my extractions, and there was no working sink in the room. Only an electric coffee dispenser, which is where she got hot water for towels. Also, the receptionist barged in to ask her questions about scheduling during my facial. Rude. Unprofessional. When I got up from the bed, I realized there was dry grass on the towel my head had been lying on. I wised up and locked the door as I was getting dressed. Good thing I did because she tried to walk in on me again a minute later. At checkout, she tried to get me to buy a $70 face product, but wouldn't be bothered to tell me what it was for, just shoved it at me to read the box. I passed, and I think I'll pass on ever going back, despite my monetary loss. I have never been so nervous and uncomfortable! This place is shady, dirty, and a waste of money! So unprofessional, and I guarantee the positive reviews on here are phony! If I could I would have given 0 stars. Please please stay away!!!

greatest Spa experience – my boy friend bought me a series of massages and facial from LA PURE DAY SPA. being the skeptic i am. I decided to research them. I log on to city search and read a few review of which some are bad. I call my boyfriend and told him to get his money back, being that i have been to some of the world best Spa, i thought they can't do too much for me, and of course we were about to go on vacation, however he convinced me to use it. I call and made an appointment, the staff are all very professional. I had my facial first which was excellent the clinician knew so much about my skin she won me for life, the massage was the best i had and i have had more than a hundred. Gain ur own experience never some one elses. I will recomend LA PURE DAY SPA to any one..

Odd experience – I found this spa via Groupon, and signed up for a microdermabrasion treatment with facial. Upon arrival, I was told that the microdermabrasion machine was broken, but I could have the facial and she'd owe me one. The owner/clinician left the room twice without comment - once because an assistant called her out to speak to someone. The treatment room was stacked with paintings and other items; I felt like I was in a back alley. It was never explained to me what type of facial I was receiving, and I left with my face on fire and no instructions. I declined to purchase a $100 bottle of lotion and then was unable to leave a tip because they could only make change with the restaurant next door. Very unorganized, very unprofessional.

Be Warned!!!! – This spa is completely disgusting. I went there for a massage and couldn't wait to get out of there. The therapist was very sweet and it was an ok massage but I could not get over how filthy this spa was. When you enter the spa, there is some makeup and some other products on display. Naturally, I was curious and started to look at some of the makeup. I could not believe how much dust there was on everything!!! The massage table squeaked through the whole massage and it was very hard for me to relax. I used the bathroom and it was just as filthy as the rest of the spa. I noticed they keep the treatment room very dark (probably to cover up how dirty it is). I'm trying to wrap my mind around how a spa could stay in business and be this dirty. Enter at your own risk!

Don't wste your time for a massage – I've tried this place twice for massages now. The first time the person could not have been certified. It was the single worst massage experience I've had and I've had easily 100+ massages. Can't even begin to tell you all the things wrong w/this experience. Carmen even seemed to expect it to be bad bad bcuz when I came out, she asked how it was and I told her it was not good she commneted that she thought I would say that and gave me a gift cert. to return for another one. I just recently set up an appt. to go back and originally set the appt. @ 11:30 but called back and asked for Carmen specifically and changed the appt w/HER to 10am. The appt was to be w/Toni (sp?) which was supposed to be a good therapist seeing that I had such a bad experience last time (btw - Randall mentioned that the previous therapist had been let go due to so many complaints). I showed up for my appt at 10am - no one was there (doors locked). I kept calling the store and no one answered until 11:15a. Then I find out that Robin is there to FILL IN for Toni for my 11:30a appt which Carmen never changed to 10am. And Robin is someone who normally does facials but trying to get into the massage side of the business. Northing against Robin. She was very nice and wanted to please me in all aspects BUT my appt was missed (not her fault), it screwed up my entire day, there was no covering on the face pillow (just the plastic), I had to ask to be covered when I was lying on my back (otherwise I was laying there naked and cold) and she asked if I wanted my legs covered when I was on my stomach thankfully, had to ask for a pillow under my lower legs to relieve the presure off my back when I laid down, there's never any soothing music (both times I've been there). Again, the missed appt was not Robin's fault but it was Carmen's and obviously she could care less because I never heard from her since to apologize. This place may be good for facials but it's not a place I'd suggest for massages. It's just not something they excel in. With more practice, Robin could become an asset in this area but they need to work on their execution of the massage experience.
