Good location, allows Pets – This is a great hotel to stay at if you have pets. It is centrally located downtown and is only 2 blocks from Ringside's temp location and pioneer square. We have stayed here several times and it has been a good experience each time. We didn't have a good experience at the bar at the other Hilton property that is across the block, however; the rest of our stays have been good. We will stay here again.
comfortable without being stuffy – i love this hotel. its so comfortable and you can earn Hilton reward points just for staying. stayed across the street at the Heathman but i dont think they thought we were "Heathman Material", so only stayed one night there. Love the views. i live in salem but when i go to Portland I will always stay here for the price and the comfort.
Cheaper Rates Than Others but in middle of construction – The hotel is nice and in a good location but there is much construction going on in the area. Their parking lot was full so we had to park across the street in a parking garage and carry all of our stuff across the street. There are two towers. The first tower we entered we were greeted by a staff member who was slightly rude and told us we had to go across the street to check in. When we arrived across the street there was a line for check in and most of those people had rooms in the opposite tower (that we just came from). Once we got registered and to our room we were shocked at how small the room was; you could barely squeeze between the bed and the dresser to get to the other side of the room. I can see why the price for this "luxory" hotel was cheaper than others in the area. The redeeming quality was the food and drinks in the lobby bar; it was prehaps the best lobby bar we have encountered
Live music in bar, Friendly staff – My friend and I went for dinner the other night and had a great experience. I had the pork chop which was AMAZING! The servers are very nice and know how to take care of you without being in your face. I would totally reccomend it. Plus live jazz in the bar!
A beloved landmark near Pioneer Square is a favorite for local events. – The Scene
Pioneer Square, also known as Portland's living room, is the heart of downtown. Just a few blocks away sits the hotel, which frequently hosts expensive weddings, election night parties and charity galas. The pleasant, two-story atrium lobby is usually crowded with an even blend of conventioneers, tourists and businesspeople, not to mention the locals who are attending one event or another.
The main hotel offers 785 rooms and suites with the standard amenities, as well as state-of-the-art fire-life safety system electronic key locks. The Executive Tower, which was built in 2002, offers 327 upscale, boutique-style rooms, as well as a restaurant, retail space and meeting rooms. This complex is ideally located for culture seekers; the performing arts center and museum are within blocks. Shopping and light rail to the rest of the city are equally convenient.
beautiful View – The food is wonderful. Not a large menu. What they do have is done well though. Have had trouble getting out in a timely way twice for the symphony. The waiter I keep getting seems aloof. But when he falls short management makes it right by offering a free dessert. Good food but dont expect to get out quickly. Did I mention the view is awsome!!
Totally decadent deep dish cheescake with pecan-graham crust and wine sauce. – Great view, great service, great food .....but don't leave without DESSERT! Not only was it the best cheesecake I've ever had.....they even placed a candle in it for my birthday!!! I'll be back next year when I turn "29" again!
agree, the best pool – Always ready for a swim, we love the pool at this place. Being downtown and get to swim in the morning. Ahhhh.
Great Jazz!!! – A new live jazz venue with a great view!! Exceptional jazz in the lounge. Great late night happy hour, the staff very friendly and accommodating. A great overall experience!!!
Great People – It's all about the way they make you feel. I enjoy working out at the Hilton because the staff is great. I train with Mia, she is great, she has taught me so much about proper nutrition and exercise. Just a Great place.
