This company was amazing! They were on time, efficient, and they handled all of our belonging with care. We recommended the company to friends and they have the same glowing reviews. Plus, they offer the lowest price because they give a set rate and they don't charge you for all the small things (distance to parking area, stairs, elevators, floors) like the rest of the companies do that nickel and dime you at every turn. I am using them again when we move into our new house and I am not even worried because I know they will do a great job.
I researched a TON of movers but in the end it came down to pricing (AND no hidden charges after the fact) and a strong recommendation from a friend.
Small World Moving didn't disappoint! the movers showed up at exactly 8:30am, and got to work. I have never used movers before so I was apprehensive about leaving my entire life in strangers hands, but I shouldn't have worried. They wrapped up everything and were able to fit my entire 2 bedroom apartment into one truckload. Crazy.
They even fixed a few of my things that were falling apart (my fault, not theirs!). Very handy, fast, and professional.
They were done in less than the minimum time, at 11:30 am, and I was able to go and meet a friend for breakfast before tackling the unpacking.
There were no damages to any of my things and they were attentive to where I wanted things placed.
I will NEVER move on my own again after this!
Money well spent – As a student, I am accustomed to moving very frequently - to another part of town, to another city, to another state... I've done it all. However, like getting a pelvic exam, no matter how many times you've done it, you still dread it and it's always an uncomfortable experience.
My past move, we moved from two separate apartments (one on the third floor and one on the second floor, with no elevators) to a two-story house. We decided not to enforce cruel and unusual punishment onto our guy friends (think of the episode of Friends where they had to move the couch up the stairs "PIVOT..... PIIIIVVVOOOOOOTT!!!") and did not want to have to make a few hundred trips back and forth that would probably take a whole day.
I called a few local movers, but Small World gave us the best customer service. We had only lived in the apartment for a year and really did not have that much furniture. The price quoted was $10 dollars/hour LOWER than what other over moving companies wanted to charge me.
The two movers arrived right on time , though we were kind of hoping they would be late since we had some last minute packing to do. They were speedy, professional and did a great job. The entire move took only 3 hours. It was money well spent.
I highly recommend them for any move, and don't forget to tip the movers to show you're appreciative of all their hard work.
Best Movers in Dallas – I picked Small World Moving for my recent move. I have generally used hourly help from local 7-Eleven but after a bad experience last time when they dropped my free standing bar that resulted in a little damage to the unit.
So after comparing prices, I went with them. And I'm glad I did!
We set a time for 9:30 AM and hoping they would be in by 10 AM. But they showed up at my Apartment at 9 AM!
They were very methodical with the move - wrapping all furniture in blankets! My 300lb bar looked like a wrapped up doll!
They wasted no time in loading the truck - no smoke break, no food break, etc...(not that I was cracking the whip of such).
Unloading was a breeze too - they set all the furniture and even the carpets at the new condo. The entire process too less than 5 hours and I was happy with their work! None of my glass stuff broke :)
Happy to recommend them anytime.....
Fake reviews! Terrible moving company!!! – I read reviews but don’t usually write any. I believe a business should always be given the opportunity to make it up to the customer before posting any negative reviews. However, when I told the owner of this company the reason I chose his business was because of the reviews, but I was dissatisfied with the service provided to me. His reply was «I don’t worry about that». Well sir, if you don’t worry about it, too bad. There are many of us for whom reviews count. Believe it or not, reviews do make a difference nowadays. I don't know who is posting all these 5 star reviews but their service is very poor, unreliable and unprofessional on all levels. Many boxes arrived smashed, torn apart and dirty. On top of that, cheaters! The charge was four times higher than what they quoted me. Would not recommend this business at all.
Love Small World Moving! – 2 words: AWESOME COMMUNICATION
The 2 guys helping my friend move some furniture from Dallas to Austin were great. I, we've had our share of movers so it's pretty easy to assess when you see a good one or you have a great experience. One of the biggest problems I have with movers is the timing. They give you a range and one is basically sitting and twiddling their thumbs until they come. On the other hand Small World Moving called us giving updates, telling us where they were, guesstimating arrival times, etc.
These guys were awesome. I will be using them again when we move again. No doubt about it, Small World Moving is who you want to use in the Greater dallas area.
AAA – I hate moving, but Sm,all World Moving rocks. Joe and Hector showed up promptly at 8:30AM on my scheduled move day and got everything done in about five hours. I've had bad experiences with other companies (including one that stole some of my belongings), but these guys were completely different. Professional, courteous and extremely careful with my stuff. A pleasure doing business with them.
Best moving experience – The guys did a great job helping me move last weekend. , Ricky and Juan were friendly, professional and fast. They were good with my dogs and very careful with all of my stuff. They helped me pack some last minute things and wrapped all of my furniture.
I can't stand moving, but they helped make it pretty painless and easy.
They were at my house right on time in the morning and only took a half a day to move all of my things to my new place.
I will definitely call them again next time I have to move!
Unethical Company - Posts Fake Reviews! – Absolutely terrible experience. The quote provided was more than 50% below what they charged when they showed up. The broke over $4000 worth of items. They charged for a carry fee even though they parked directly in front of my building. BEWARE! Once you decide on Small World Movers you'll never be able to get a hold of them again! Unethical company that should be shut down.
Great Movers – I had to move a large amount of stuff to my new home and office in Amarillo, from Dallas. It included all of my house, my office, and my wife's inventory of her business (antiques). Jerry and Lisa were a pleasure to deal with, and the movers themselves were professional, courteous, and didn't break any of my stuff. My only advice would be to make sure that you have them come out and give you a firm estimate, rather than doing the online form, just to eliminate any potential for misunderstandings. Other than that, I can't recommend them enough!
