So good. Good carpaccio and delicious ravioli.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT – I had heard from a Foodie friend that this new place in the WESTIN was great in Big Apple so I was really excited to check it out. From the beginning when there was no hostess to the end when the wait staff was functional, but disinterested, I felt let down. The seating is not cozy. It felt more like a cafe in a less expensive hotel. I felt like I should apologize to the waiter for being there and making him serve us. He made no suggestions and when I asked between two dishes he said "definitely don't get that one". I thought that a strange way to recommend the alternate dish. There was not a smile on any face except the female busser refilling the drinks. She did that quiet well considering the rest of the service. The focacia bread had a very hot & spicy seasoning that didn't seem "Italian" and burned my tongue & throat. The Citron salad was anything but citrus and some of the lettuce was brown like it was cut yesterday. I had the snapper which had bones. It was hot and the taste was good but I thought the sauce was a bit salty. The tea glasses were small and I found it hard to measure the right amount of sweetner. The waiter had a hard time getting to all of us because of the seating and reached across the table multiple times to hand plates and ask for glasses for refils. I had tiramasu for dessert. It was a nice size but was very sweet. Overall I wouldn't classify it as a fine dining experience. Maybe they still need to work out the kinks. Since I had heard great things about the original restaurant it felt very anticlimatic, not what I consider a 4 STAR restaurant.
