Reviews for The Dutch

The Dutch have seldom been in the news since the 17th century when some of their painters were the equivalent of modern day basketball stars. Now the Dutch are making headlines again, or at least a new Soho spot with that name is. A hipster hotspot in Soho, the Dutch, boasts a diverse menu of comfort food featuring everything from $5 tiny oyster sandwiches to a $17 house burger. Sip on one of 27 bourbons and recreate Franz Halls "The Jolly Drinker."

Conceived as a classic, old New York hangout, The Dutch delivered on its promise with a swinging crowd, a good, eclectic menu, and a first-rate cocktail program. Stop in for oysters or a steak, or, if it's available, chef Andrew Carmellini's fabulous fried chicken.

If You like Live Music and Entertaining Show after Dinner... – After dining at The Dutch, a great place to go is The Griffin to Michael Fredo's Wednesday night party. They have a great show and an open bar from 8-9:30. Free admission too. Michael Fredo with The Benny Reid Ensemble is a great Jazz/ Ratpack show. 50 Gansevoort @ Greenwich
