Reviews for Mala Sichuan

You know how China became a hub of manufacturing because they were able to do it better and more affordably than us? The same things looks to be happening with food if the offerings at Chinatown's Mala Sichuan are any indication. Dan Dan noodles for $3.95 and more complex offerings like the Four Joy Lion's Head, four massive pork meatballs swimming in a ginger-and-garlic-spiked brown sauce, have been a major hit with diners.

Get the red chili oil dumplings, arctic – A fave of local chefs, the red oil wontons (not to be confused with red oil dumplings) are to die for. Other faves include arctic surf clams, mala beef jerky, garlic bacon, water boiled fish (spicy), the dan dan noodles or cold sesame noodles. Beware of things marked extra spicy. Byob. 5% off if u pay cash.

Authentic Sichuan Food in an Ubiquitous Strip Mall – The dishes range from mild to very spicy and are the real deal. I enjoy the well-priced lunch specials, although the over all cost of meal here is reasonable. My favorite dish is the Chengdu-style prawns - so far that is.
