The staff at Pete's was very courteous and helpful to me. For example, I dropped my car off and they immediately took me home, and picked me back up when my car was ready. I have trouble walking so that was extremely helpful and kind. Big plus, the prices are affordable and they even gave me some coupons.

Pete's has high quality mechanics and their repair prices are substantially lower than the dealers. When ordering parts for my Saab they are always upfront about costs and I've never experienced any hidden fees or unexpected prices.

Was looking for a neighborhood mechanic shop for my Land Rover that could fufill my service needs. Eric and his staff have treated me with honesty and have my Land Rover is top shape. I appreciate their fairness in dealing with customers. Since my Land Rover is a '95 it needed several things done, including:

- Replaced valve cover and head cover gaskets

- Replaced ignition coil

- Repaired radiator hose and stopped all leaks throughout vehicle

Pete's is a great family owned local business. I find them very knowledgeable in all aspects of any issues I've had with my Jeep Cherokee Limited. They have been timely and fair, the employees and staff are great.

This is the best place ever to take your car! I have a mitsubishi mirage 2001 and a Honda Accord 2009. In the last four years, they have done an amazing work with my older car at a very reasonable price. Eric and his coworkers are not only friendly but very professional: they care about not only t he car but about you. You will receive the best personal service. Here is one example: i need liquid for that car, and took it to Petes. Eric saw it right away and added the liquid for free, just in 5 minutes. Also, after buying my Honda, I took it there for mechanical inspections and oil change. Not only did they do all of this after having gone with me through the car since i had issues with the body work done before i bought it. He signaled each and every thing that needed work and also recommended me a place to change my tires. Upon getting my car, i told them the battery of the keyless car wasnt working properly,Eric himself went to SUllivans and bought me another batter while Richard replaced it since he is an expert in Hondas having worked for HOnda for almost 20 years!!!!. These guys have time for you (which is significantly important in these days) and they will explain to you every single detail of the car. They care about you and they are focused on providing a honest, familiar environment. These are just a few reasons why i strongly recommend Petes service. Best place ever and I am glad that for these past 4 years and in the future, I have a great mechanic i can always rely on, in the city.

Please Read and Avoid! – I took my car to Pete's, because they were one of the only places open on a Saturday and my sun roof on my 2001 BMW 330I was open and wouldn't close. Since it was supposed to rain over the weekend, I had no choice but to try and get it closed. I dropped it off at Pete's on Saturday morning and they told me they would give me a call to let me know what they found. I had not heard from them at 12:45 p.m. (they close at 1:00 p.m.) so I called them. Todd proceeded to inform me that my car not only needed a new sunroof motor, but about $2,500 worth of additional service.

I found this to be very odd, because my car had just been in the shop and had a lot of work done (it was in a wreck, so the front end had gone through quite a bit of repair), including some of the things they mentioned. They said I needed new rear brake pads, a new control arm, etc., etc. When I saw the estimate, I went over to pick the car up because I simply couldn't justify putting that much money into it. The guy told me NOT to touch the sunroof whatever I did. They had cranked it closed, but he didn't want me messing with it, because it needed a new motor (or so he said).

After picking it up, I took it back to the place I had originally had work done. They just happened to be working that Saturday and when I showed them the estimate they were shocked and appalled. They tried the sunroof and guess what - it worked!!! They proceeded to tell me there is a reset button on it and that it just needed to be reset. They also proceeded to tell me that my rear brake pads still have 40% wear left on them and that my control arm was in good shape. Clearly, Pete's was a scam and was just looking for some extra $$$$.

Hold Onto Your Seats For This Experience – Dropped off our 1998 S70T5 for a gas leak repair. Service that ended up costing > $525 was initiated before we called back 20 minutes after the initial vmail message left for us to ask for our input/authority. We had specifically mentioned to Joline that we would need the car by end of day Friday and to call before major work. Neither was accomplished. We picked up the car today after it took Volvo experts 4 hours of labor to remove/drop the gas tank down and reinstall in order to troubleshoot/repair the gas leak culprit...a $5 cracked hose. 4 hours! Seems excessive? The fuel pump was also replaced with 20 mos and 10k miles of wear on it. Very cautious seemingly. Pete's had installed the prior fuel pump 20 months earlier. The interior ceiling liner repair was referred onward to a Westfield company after Joline made it appear that it and my gas leak could both easily be accomplished at Pete's. Both were common problems that they handle. We were hoping to have both done conveniently at one place for one decent price. When we picked up the car today, it had 18 extra miles on it. Seemingly odd since the problem was a gas leak. What driving requirements were needed to confirm that the gas leak was repaired. Erik could only confirm that it isn't unusual for the mechanics to test drive the vehicles to make sure the problems are fixed. We would just like to know why 18 miles and what were they trying to confirm. No rattle to check. No braking/acceleration to check. Strange, huh? And, oh yeah, my 20 month old battery that hasn't presented any problems to date was practically dead when we picked up the cat this afternoon. We mentioned this to Erik also as soon as we got home while we quizzed him on the mystery 18 miles on the car. Now, 3 hours later at 830PM, since the car was slow to start on the pick up, we thought we would start it and let it run a little. No dice! Dead battery. Can you believe it? This is gone well past bad to worse. Just left a message at Pete's for Erik to either deal with this dead battery, Pete's problem, not ours. It is their choice. If they choose to ignore it, they will never see us, our friends, or our family at Pete's again. Regardless, quite honestly, we might not be back. At the end of the day, an honest explanation and a new battery are required. 4 hours to solve a gas leak? A replacement fuel filter at 20 mos? No return call confirmation before work was started? 18 miles to test drive a gas leak repair? a suddenly dead 20 month old battery? If this wasn't so funny, we would cry.

May the force be with you if you take your vehicle to Pete's!! For $500 I got a fuel filter I didn't need, a gas leak repaired that I did need but three days late and the interior ceiling liner left untouched/unrepaired, 18 mystery miles and a dead battery.

Your the Best !!!! – I just took my Porsche 911 Carrera 4 in to get it fixed at Pete's Service. They were amazing, the techs were very smart and actually taught me a thing or two about my Baby!!! I will most defiantly bring my car there for regular check ups and especially this summer. We also brought in my wife's RX 350 and she also enjoyed her experience. She felt like they actually cared about both our car and her well being. I never thought I would be so excited about having our very own personal auto repair center. Lastly thanks to Eric the General Manager and the rest of the front office for always making us feel like Family :-)

Pete's Service Center – I was a first time customer at Pete's, and I must say that I was very nervous going in after just coming from the dealership with an estimate over $2,000!!! But Pete's put me in a rental car at no cost to me and shortly after was given an estimate for $1,500 not only that but they fixed my headlight free of charge! Highly recommended professional service at a fair and reasonable price.
