Reviews for Suzette

Suzette may represent the fulfillment of every cart-owner's dream. From a chilly box on Northeast Alberta with a teeny kitchen, no bathroom and minimal seating, comes this elegant, comfortable cafe in the center of Belmont's nightlife row. The one-dish wonder menu focuses exclusively on thin, chewy pancakes but that doesn't mean it's limited on options. Order one oozing with anything from goat cheese and apples to creamed mushrooms or ice cream or go nuts and design your own.

They don’t come any cuter than this Belmont nook, which produces some of the most thoughtfully-constructed crepes in town—I lust after the lemon butter-drenched, cider poached apples-topped Normandie. And a lovelier brunch special never lived--$13 for a mimosa, almond teacake and proscuitto & egg crepe. PS: Sit at the bar, where you can watch the crew slowly caramelize skillets full of onions for the outstanding French onion soup.

Former Chez Panisse pastry chef Jehnee Rains serves up traditional French savory buckwheat crepes, dessert crepes, and build-your-own variations. All crepes $1 more for gluten free.

LOVE this place, but don't agree the crepes are chewy.
