I love me some uni and they've put it on some bread to make it a bruschetta! It's simply amazing.
Lots of bacon, but in a good way. Juicy chicken and lamb burgers. Dip the fries in the mussel broth and try the 5 Leches Bread Pudding.
Brutally delicious. This place reminds me a lot of Animal, but I think that the menu choices are slightly more accessible and well planned here. The broccoli is the best I've ever had. The bone marrow dish is succulent. I'm also a big fan of the popcorn bacon.
Tried this place shortly after trying Animal, and it seems clear that Black Hogg might have taken some inspiration, but Black Hogg's execution struck me as more accessible. The fried bacon cubes with maple crema were so delicious that we had to keep ordering more of them, and the olives were also quite tasty, as were the more substantial dishes. Our party ordered almost everything on the menu and found it all to be impressive, and actually a little bit less pricey than we were expecting. Excellent experience overall!
Nice eatery in the Silverlake/Echo Park area. Unique interpretations on traditional menu items. Only been there once and the service and food were very good. However, they don't sale alcohol...bummer.
