Reviews for Lucille's

Nine out of ten medical professionals agree*, a biscuit a day keeps the doctor away, and no one makes a better biscuit than Lucille's. Named for the great-grandmother of chef Chris Williams, whose recipe is behind said delights, Lucille's famous chilli biscuit is a revelation. Many of the other menu items, like the hoppin john, a medley of boiled peanut hummus and fried green tomatoes, also rely on family specialties being kicked up by Williams. Texas tradition — including the turn-of-the century home the restaurant's housed in —is elevated with European accents, modernizing Soco classics. The results are legendary, much like Lucille herself.

This is a homey addition to the restaurant-scarce Museum District.

Southern food goes modern with Chef Chris Williams' touch. Expect classic dishes like fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, and shrimp & grits.

First time pretty good but second time mostly outstanding...The first time i went with a large party, I loved my shimp and grits (I was the only one in the party to order it) The special dessert of the night was outstanding, but my friends said theirs was above average. I took my foodie sister last night we shared the seared scallops. Outstanding! we were quoting top chef! Then we each order the rosted Corbia (never heard of the fish) and roasted Kale. We did not need the kale with the amount of swiss chard on the menu but the Kale was better and the Corbia was Great. The only negative was dessert the coffee cream Brulee was soupy we sent it back but we were full and really did not need dessert
