The economy has made even small store owners greedy.
I have been shopping online with this woman for years. I used to absolutely love her jeans even though it takes a while to get the size and fit right in jeans "made in Brazil".
The economy has sure changed things. You used to have jeans made out of thick stretch denim material that fit right and would not burst at the seams. They reminded me of jeans I found overseas, so I assumed they were made in Brazil. Maybe they were...but no longer. The material has changed....the fit has changed. These jeans are not made in Brazil...she sews a label on them that says they are made in Brazil.
The fabric IS stretch but cheap. The pairs i received looked like factory seconds. The stitching was uneven and the top-stitching in some areas did not meet. What pissed me off is that after dealing with her for so long and even talking to her on the phone, she would not give me any of my money back. She promptly changed her website to NOW read, Exchanges or Store Credit ONLY. I bought 4 pairs and why would i want the same quality or credit there. I even went there from Long Island after talking to Jenny (who said she worked there, but who ends up...after a Better Business Bureau complaint revealed...is the owner and sole proprietor). To no avail. She is tall & shapely, but very rude. This place is on the second floor of a building, with garbage-strewn floors, scary people hanging out in the building arguing and is the size of my walk-in closet. Against my better judgment, however i went anyway, hoping that she would see that i am someone who perhaps in her own vested interest she should treat like a valued customer. It's obvious from my experience there that once money comes into her hands....it will not be coming back to the customer. NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
I left my jeans there. I can afford to do without them. I did the next best thing...I am letting any potential buyers know....(even her past customers..AS I WAS).
GO ELSEWHERE. WHERE YOUR BUSINESS, YOUR $$$...AND YOUR LOYALTY WILL BE APPRECIATED.
