Worst Bar In The City!!! – This bar is awful! The food is bad, the drinks are watered down, the dj or wherever the music is coming from is THEE WORST! Amd the service is terrible too. I've been here three times for events planned by groups, the servcie is horribly slow, even though at times they weren't that crowded. And they are definitely anti-minority; I was not surprised at all to find they were owned by the same guy who owns McFaddens, who was just sued for racial discrimination against workers and patrons. I will NEVER go back go here again!

SECURITY ASSAULTS WOMEN!!!! – I went to this bar and since my friend tripped the bouncer, who is 300 lbs, thought it was appropriate to grab me by the arm and carry me by my arm up two flights of stairs. I am a 27 yr. old 120lb FEMALE!!!! Who assaults FEMALES like that!!! When I went back the next day expecting an apology the same bouncer, Lou Delacruz, continued to yell at me (this was a monday at 5pm) I am shocked and appalled that an establishment would hire people like that.

I will NOT be returning here, besides the bad food, over priced drinks, and horrible DJ, now we have to be ABUSED too!!! This establishment should be shut down! I contacted the better business bureau and I sure hope they do something to these people!!!

Tavern on broad.. an old fan but full of new hate!! – Disappointing place overall....

My friends and I had previously been to Tavern to enjoy Tuesday night fun and quizzo..

Despite this, the bartenders and management continued to be rude and overall disrespectful..

The security people went as far as to call one of our African American friends, a "ni*ger" in an act of pure unforeseen class.

We won't be back, and I'd encourage you to take your business elsewhere.

Citysearch Editorial Review – The spacious den underneath the Bellevue seems like an ideal setting for a bar, but ever since Zanzibar Blue closed it just hasn’t been able to maintain an identity. It its latest iteration, it’s presenting itself as a sports bar/lounge that features DJs and special guest appearances by “celebs” like the cast of “Jersey Shore” and Mayor Michael Nutter. A three-sided bar stretches across the main room near the entrance, then leaves open some floor space for a DJ and mingling; the space also features several semi-private nooks in the back perfect for shooting pool, hosting an event or sinking into low red leather couches arranged into conversation cubes.

What could be better than a speakeasy-styled sports bar, lounge concept at this subterranean locale under the legendary Bellevue Building? – In Short
Smack in the middle of Center City, JL's sumptuous environment serves as backdrop for sports fans and those looking for a comfortable setting to nosh on Crispy Duck Nachos and Lobster Quesadillas while watching the game. More substantial fare comes in the way of Maine Lobster Thermador, Cheesesteak BLT, Beef Wellington and Marinated Skirt Steak. Espresso Crème Brûlée, Philadelphia Cheesecake and classic Hot Fudge Sundaes cap things off memorably. Cocktails are copious and classic--think Martinis and Manhattans in oversized glasses.
