I started taking guitar lessons at Eagle Rock Music Studio about 3 months ago.

My teacher is great at clarifying concepts I had previously been exposed to, but never

really grasped. I feel my playing has improved quite a bit, even in this short time.

Understanding makes a big difference. I signed my kids up for one of the low cost group drum classes. They have having a great time while they are learning.

At Last, Success! – I just took my first banjo lesson. I've been trying to learn with a book and videos but have been totally frustrated. Today I actually started picking through a song! My teacher is great! She broke it down into a step by step process that makes sense. This is a small, down to earth place. They seem like they really want to help you learn, not just take your money.

Great Fun! – I started with a group guitar class, The class gave me a good basic overview of chords. strumming and some tab and music reading. I took a few fiddle lessons as well. I've recently started drums. I love music and this place is like a smorgasboard of musical choices. All of the teachers I have had are

seem very knowledgeable and sincerely interested in my progress.

I have been a student at Eagle Rock Music Studio, for over a year now. I am learning to play the Ukulele, and I am happy to have found a place where under the most professional setting and caring teacher (Her name is Sue), I am learning to do what I thought I would never do, to play a musical instrument. I do not beleive in miracles, but I am experiencing one, I know I got no talent, but somehow my teacher is finding some in me, by being patient, and I am ejoying my classes. I recomend this great Studio to all, I just wish I had known of it sooner.

Great Place To Learn Music – I've had first rate experiences with Eagle Rock Music Studio as well as the owner Sue. I noticed a negative review here, and it just did not match the professional service I've received. The entire staff at ERMS seems very professional and skilled. I highly recommend them for anyone interested in improving their musical skills. Five stars!

Great teacher! – I am taking guitar lesson with Sue at Eagle Rock Studio. I have learned more in the last 6 months than I ever thought I could. My goal is to play guitar in my band and with her help, I'm almost there. She's awesome.

Eagle Rock's Best for Music Lessons – When I read Rilo's bad review, I felt compelled to respond. My children have been taking piano, guitar and violin lessons at Eagle Rock Music Studio for the past year. Our experience has been nothing less than good at this facillity. Yes, they could use a larger space but who can blame them for not expanding in the current economic climate. This is probably what helps keep their prices a little lower than most.

I find it unfortunate that someone would write such a destructive review based one 1/2 hr spent in the school.

Sue has a lot on her plate, running the school single-handedly and teaching as well. The focus of Rilo's review is very narrow. We find Eagle Rock Music Studio

to be a wonderful facillty that functions with great integrity and dedication to providing excellent instruction.

Will not be returning... – About two weeks ago I was given a mandolin as a gift. I've been playing it non-stop and decided it would be nice to take some lessons so that I might enjoy it that much more. I looked up several places online and found the Eagle Rock Music Studio and decided to give them a call.

I was greeted in a pleasant manner by a woman named Sue. I stated that I was looking to get information about lessons. She asked if she could call me back as she was with a student. This sounded odd to me... I thought to myself, "She must mean she's talking to a student about something like scheduling another lesson and not in the middle of teaching." Five minutes later I got a call back from Sue and scheduled my lesson, finding out that it would be with her.

Despite the fact I'd learned only 30 minutes prior to the lesson that my car had been broken into I was genuinely excited and ready to learn. I met Sue, then stepped into the small room. To my surprise the door stayed open the entire 30 minute lesson. After going through a warmup her cell phone began ringing, but instead of turning it off she answers it. On the other line is a person (just like me a week ago) asking about lessons. She spends a minute or so answering questions then hangs up and apologizes saying, "I thought it was my handyman. We're building a fence in my yard and are having problems with the neighbors." She tries to tell me more but I make it clear that I'm concentrating on the mandolin learning that should be happening.

A few minutes later a person walks up to the door with a little girl asking about which room they should be in for piano group lessons or something. I sit there, trying to play the song given to me while they continue to have a discussion on either side of me.

Then, a few minutes later still, another employee interrupts and asks her to come fix a printer or fax machine! I should have just packed up right there and left but I didn't. I continued for what remaining time I had left to work on the song as people came in and out of the bell dinging door in the lobby and spoke loudly in the waiting area (this is why we close doors to the private lesson areas lady).

On the plus side I didn't have cash to pay for the lesson as I only had my debit card but Sue let me leave and get cash from an atm. Thinking back about it now though I feel like a sucker for paying a cent for the lesson. This place is a mess and the staff don't treat you and your 25 dollars per half hour with any form of respect. I will not be returning and strongly recommend finding another place to learn your new instrument at. The only reason I'm giving this 2 instead of one is because I can tell Sue knew what she was talking about, I just couldn't focus on a damn bit of it.
