Very corrupt. – Absolutely terrible. This place is not legitimately Japanese in any way. I applied as a hostess thinking that it would be a great environment to work in since I know Japanese. Little did I know, the place is run by Chinese with extremely corrupt business practices. Upon my first day of training, I was told to put my social security number in a NOTEBOOK, among those of other Chinese immigrants. Then, to make things even more sketchy, I was trained for one night and then told not to come back because the "corporate office" over-hired. My friends boyfriend had a similar experience, as he was "trained" for one night and told not to come back because of "over-hiring". The night I was trained, I actually had to take care of angry customers whose waitress "disappeared" on them. I'm very disappointed in Fuji Japan Steakhouse, and do not recommend it at all. Stay FAR away from this place, unless you are looking for a less than pleasant experience.
SOOOO GOOOODDDDD!!! – I had never been to a hibachi restaurant until I went for my company's Christmas party and I will never look at chinese food the same again...it was DELICIOUS!!! Going back for my birthday next week...
Best Hibachi EVER!!! Fun! Delicious! Affordable! – I've been to Fuji several times! Just recently they did a lot of updates! It is now very metro & spunky! The atmosphere is fun and the lunch menu is very affordable! The last time I was there I had Hibachi and the Ohio Roll! It was delicious....and I was stuffed!!! The appitizers are made right on the spot & the Hibachi is hilarious!
You really get a lot for your money with the hibachi there! It comes with noodles, rice, vegetables & soup (in edition to your meat)! Most places don't give you all of that along with your food! The lunch hibachi itself was only $9 dollars per person! I went back for dinner...and it wasn't much more! I've never had such great food, at such a great atmosphere, for such a small investment!
The first time i went to Fuji Japanese steakhouse was great...but then the second time around...i went there for my birthday and ordered a sashimi platter for dinner. When it came out to me, everything looked okay except for the Tuna. Tuna is supposed to be a bright vibrant pinkish red when it's fresh but what i had in front of me was a couple pieces of dry red-brown color raw fish. It was horrendous...i know what sushi is supposed to look like...when i was younger, my parents owned multiple Japanese restaurants. I waited until a server came by to tell them but no one came around for the entire meal...i left the tuna there but ate everything else because i had not eaten all day. Finally, a server shows up after we're done with our meals. I told them what was wrong and the server runs off to tell the manager and they both tried to convince me that it was " a different part of the fish so it's supposed to look like that. " That completely offended me because they acted like i had no clue what i was talking about...my dad was a damn sushi chef...i eat sushi all the time...
On top of that, they did not even try to correct their mistake by giving me fresh pieces of tuna or even taking a percentage of it off of my bill. Not even an apology.
Never again will i go there. Such a disappointment.
