Nance's rudies. On July 13th this year, I was sent to Pawley's Island on business for a week. A few co-worker's and I tried different places in the Murrell's Inlet area during that week. Nance's was located in a great neighborhood and looked pretty decent. We went in to reserve a table, the place was busy and the wait was going to be 30min, so we decided to have a beer at the bar. After 30 minutes, my friend went to the hostess station and asked her where the restrooms were, the hostess rolled her eyes at my friend and rudly responded : "over there !" pointing towards the restrooms. I decided to let the owner know. She apologized and sat us down after 45 minutes. All five of us orderes the $ 22.00 Broiled seafood platter. The food came and we were in awe ! The smallest scallops I had ever seen broiled, 2 or 3 oysters in a sample cup, overcooked shrimp and dried out fish. We were all so shocked that they had dared bringing us this ridiculous plate whereas you can get so much better at Red Lobster saddly. Anyways, the young wiatress noticed there was a problem and when we told her what we thought, she looked at us with the meanest look on her face and said " If you have to complain about everything tonight you should just leave and never come back !". It WAS like a backwoods horror movie. We couldn't believe it. We called the owner back, told her the story, and she dod not believe us at all ! She claimed she had the best staff and that she never had a complaint. We couln't believe it. We asked for our checks and they NEVER returned to our table after 15 minutes, that's when we stood up and left and went next door to the Dead Dog where we had the best experience ever.
