HORRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE!!!! – I just have to say just how completely disgusted I am with not only apple but the employees they have in their store in Leawood. I have been a very loyal apple person all my life but they really need to work on standing behind their products when the product clearly was junk to begin with. I am beyond my wits end with the absolute total lack of customer care that I have received in this store on multiple occasions pertaining to my ipod shuffle 3.0. This system clearly has had it's issues and they did away with it and went back to the original shuffle system. I am one of the very unlucky people that has had nothing but problems with the earphones constantly breaking and then not being able to use my shuffle. I have driven down from prairie village more than my fair share of times trying to "replace" the parts that keep breaking. I am sure I have spent more in gas than the thing is even worth but they won't offer any fair solutions to me at this point. My husband has had the exact same problems with his as well and frankly I am so irate that the employees not only act as though there is no problem and act so arrogant and belligerent toward their customers
I went in yesterday for the umpteenth time trying to resolve the same problem AGAIN and the mgr on duty was the biggest jerk I have encountered yet. I just want to replace my shuffle with the current shuffle which costs 30 dollars less than the one I currently own and also does not have the same amount of memory. I think this is a very fair solution considering the time I have invested in trying to make the shuffle I have work. He never apologized to me for the problems I have encountered, he even defended the product acting so arrogant as though I must the only one who has had this problem (even though they have done away with it and it's reviews of it have had the same problems I have had). Every time I asked him a question he just went around it with some BS answer. He showed total lack of respect and even had the nerve to tell me he basically wasn't concerned with my problem but concerned about getting his store closed and his employees home. His solutions to me were to replace the earphones AGAIN and or give a 10% discount on a new shuffle. What kind of customer care is this? Obviously I was frustrated and angry because I am sick of wasting time on the same problem and just want what I think anyone would want, to be told I am sorry that this has happened and to be given some sort of solution that benefits me NOT APPLE! He even told me at the end of our dispute that he didn't think it was that big of deal and basically acted like I should just cough up the money and buy a new one! That was just so rude and he should honestly should get fired over telling a customer that!
I honestly am just shocked that they are so unwilling to do anything to stand behind the product that it makes me question if I will even continue to waste my hard earned money on appleware if this is the way they teach their staff to deal with people. It is horrendous customer care and I am furious that my problem was dealt with such disregard and over 30 dollars APPLE probably has lost a devout APPLE lover and customer. Thinking about the way I was treated writing this just infuriates me all over again! I would think twice if I were you by investing money into things they won't back and then when it breaks treat you with total disregard!
