Great Job – Green Collar Operations did an amazing job, they were very thorough in all processes. They started with a no cost energy audit. I decided to hire them because of price and...well the sales guy seemed trusting. We did the work and our home is so much more comfortable. We are planning on using GReen Collar Operations to replace our AC unit next, this time around we could only afford duct sealing and insulation, but even doing this has made a difference. Green Collar did a great job helping to get my house more energy efficient. We had a sales guy come out and quote for insulation and sealing our ducts. Everyone was very knowledgeable on what was the best way to get our energy bill lowered. The crews were very kind and courteous. They cleaned up everything when they were done. They did a really great job overall, would recommend!
Feeling warm now – I had Green Collar out for an energy audit after the cold evening I had several weeks ago in my home. I found them by searching on the web. Turns out my co-worker had them out to do an audit on his home before he sold. Anyway, I bought my home knowing that it needed work. I have only lived here since August, so this is my first winter in my new home. The energy auditor came out and recommended duct sealing and insulation. Said several of my ducts were shredding! Green Collar guys came out and sealed everything, ducts and returns, then did some testing to make sure it was tightly sealed. But I am pretty sure adding another 10 inches of insulation is what has made my home feel more comfortable. It even seems quieter. So good job Green Collar, your people are professional, reliable and nice! Adam told me I should expect a rebate within 4 weeks, I am so happy I finally did this!
Be Careful – I hired Green Collar via a sub contractor AirCo (who installed a new AC system - loved AirCO btw)
1. Long story short, one of the guys dropped a bucket of sealing mastic on our carpet. They sent a guy out to clean it, it didn't work. They mailed me $150 check but now the carpet I have in about 1,000SF needs to be replaced.
2. The doors were not sealed properly, I can still feel the air flowing
3. The cheap clear caulk they used around the inside windows has fully dried and looks horrible. It was applied too wide and thin, and now becomes a permanent dust collector.
4. When a performance "test" was completed, it wasn't clear to me that anything was really being tested. I might be wrong here but I would think a before and after test would have meaning.
All in all a horrible experience, I really liked the owner but bottom line, a bad company to work with. They have a great website but don't get fooled. Also, the owner is very marketing savvy, thus I wouldn't put it past him to stack his own reviews.
- I've also file a complaint with the BBB.

Yes the work was done two years ago and yes it passed inspection.... I had other things on my plate other than writing reviews! The work performed by your "teenagers" was horrible. Yes you contacted me but I really don't want anyone from your company back inside my house. I did have a conversation with Robs mother /business manager (she is who called me, whom I did speak with btw) Again, I really didn't want to have a bunch of teenagers back in my house putting gobs of calk all over the place. Again, Robs a good guy but the people he hires to work for him are just kids armed with calk and duck mastic - both of which make a huge mess. Once the gobbed on calk cures, it collects dust and then the dust adheres to the window etc. What a mess!

We completed work on your house in 2009, it passed the city?s inspection, and you gave us every indication that all issues were resolved satisfactorily. If you still had issues with our work, why wait two years and post online instead of contacting us directly? Since learning of your concerns we have made repeated offers to address and correct your issues, but you have been unwilling to even maintain a dialogue with us. Very Courteous – Very courteous staff. Seems to know and understand energy efficiency topics. Did a very thorough and professional inspection, evaluation and sealing all A/C ducts. Highly recommended.
Above and beyond – The young men that came and performed the energy audit were very knowledgeable and performed their job with a minimum of disruption to our life. They went beyond and caulked a large crack - Thank you very much - they did a great job.
Good Work, Failed on Promise – Everyone who worked on my home was friendly and professional. They did great work on my house, taking the time to do everyghing correct. I am very pleased with the work and service provided by the individuals who entered my home.
However, they did not fulfill their promise on all the energy rebates that would be coming my way. Two of the three rebates they promised I would get did come through. The third rebate was suspiciously removed from my proposal after they sent it to me via email. I did not sign it and asked for the rebate to be reinstated. They agreed it was a mistake, even the workers who did the work on my home said they would also make sure that it would be taken care of. It wasn't. On a third follow-up, they denied it ever existed.
The company did good work inside the house, but I feel they deceived me to get my business.
Follow Up: Green Collar apologized for their mis-communication and did send me the third rebate after I filed a complaint with the BBB
