Unhelpful -- a waste of time and money – After dropping a pair of RayBans sunglasses with glass lenses, I went to this store to have the lenses replaced. The employee encouraged me to have them replaced with generic plastic polarized lenses which would be ready within four days if not sooner. In short, they were not ready on time and I was charged $100 for something that I found other stores would normally charge $57-$60, even more than an $89 replacement of the glass lenses by the manufacturer. When I confronted the employee about this, he lied and said he'd never heard of that service going for that price. I wish I'd learned my lesson sooner -- if I'd walked one more block I would've found another place with better service and more reasonable prices.

Don't waste your money-stay away! – Recently, reading print became a problem for me (age), so I made an appt. to have the advertised discount eye exam. During the exam, the doctor asks me my age, etc., and if I've had surgery on my eyes. I tell her that I had surgery when I was four to correct farsightedness. She then asks" what kind?". I tell her that I don't get the question, so she repeats the question, asking if I had Lasix (FYI, Lasix wasn't available when I was four). This should've been a red flag. She finishes the exam-before I can ask for the diagnosis, I'm handed off to a salesperson. The salesperson tells me "this prescription is for bifocals- did you know that?", (well, no). Says that I have astigmatism. At this point, my prescription still hasn't been explained (what's astigmatism, are my glasses for all the time or only for reading, and most of all, why am getting this info from a salesperson instead the doctor). Told I needed progressive lenses, never informed of other options- end up w/lenses w/anti-reflective coating (which she says is essential). A week later, I get a message that my glasses are ready-I get them, later noticing they had severe glare & distortion-I call and a guy tells me to come in and they'll check it out. I go in, tell him that when I wear them, I'm seeing a reflection of my eyes, headlights at the top of the lenses, lamps, etc., (basically everything the coating is supposed to prevent), as well as distortion. He says "I don't know what to tell you"-tells me that this is the correct anti-reflective coating, then launches into a sales pitch for more expensive lenses! Get another eye exam-told I need a stronger prescription-salesperson again tries sell me more expensive lenses. When I ask why I wasn't told how lousy these lenses are, he says "well I'm telling you now". Wow. At this point I start to feel ripped off-I just wanted what I had purchased to at least work! Finally agrees to redo the lenses-when I come to have them put in the frames, the salesperson that day asks "well what's wrong with the ones you have now?" I tell her that I received a phone call that my lenses were ready. She acts confused and again asks "what's wrong with the ones you have now?". She asks me to put on my glasses, whips out a sharpie, asks me to stare straight ahead & starts to center my eyes in the defective lenses! I again tell her that I received a call to come in and have the new lenses put in. She takes my number, then tells me to leave my glasses & they will call me (?!) Get a call a day or so later- the lenses are in the frames, ready for pickup. I come in, tell the clerk that I'm here to pick up my glasses.. She looks at me for a second, then turns away quickly and goes back to staring at her computer. After couple of awkward seconds, another salesperson gets out of her chair, walks behind the counter and gets them. Problem hadn't been rectified- same glare, same distortion-was basically sold a piece of crap (around $700)- by this time I just wanted to go somewhere else. Don't waste your time or money-this place is a scam.
