LOVE IT DIANA IS AN AWESOME STYLIST – I had been looking for a comfortable salon environment and creative, confidant stylist and found both at this salon and I'm a tough cookie because I've owned salons in the past.
DIANA was the absolute best of everything you could want in a stylist.
I have been "trying out" stylists for 4 years to take my lifelong-long hair to a short style that would fit my personality and lifestyle. DIANA delivered spot on. I never thought I would truly love short hair and I love it so much I will never have long hair again.
She put in so much time and made me feel comfortable thru the whole change & it was a huge deal for me, but most of all I appreciated her confidence and skills.
I am so glad I found this salon
GREAT SERVICE, GREAT SALON AND A GREAT STYLIST!
Thanks Diana as long as you are here you have a lifelong client- Tracey
Bad Service - Run Away from this place – First off, this is the worst place to get your hair styled. Before I had any treatment done, I visited the shop and was told at any time, that if I was unhappy with my hair, that they would fix it. So I made an appointment to get my hair cut and colored. I told Lanna the owner, I wanted my hair BLOND. The salon is so dark inside that you can't tell what color your hair is after treatment. You think your hair is blonde, when in reality, it's NOT! I was willing to give them a second chance and made a second appt. 3 months later for cut and color. I was made to sit for 40 minutes, while Lanna colored and cut Miss Texas' hair along with a photographer for pics in a fancy magazine.I watched while Ms. Texas primped and posed in the mirror and Lanna fussed over her like a small child, all the while sitting to get waited on! Lanna could of at least called and told me to reschedule, because of all the time she spent with Ms. Texas. When Lanna got to my hair, she was shaky from not eating all day, hungry, distracted, interrupted many times, and was on her cell phone constantly.I felt like I was low man on the totem pole and getting inferior treatment. I told her I wanted my Hair color B L ON D , showed her the color, pictures, and even said I wanted my hair color to be like Ms. Texas. The cut came out nicely and I thought my hair was blond because of the bad lighting in the studio.Once I got home, my husband told me that my hair was brown and dark!!!!! I was upset!!! I called the next day and Lanna refused to correct the color and/ or to refund my money. She was nasty, unprofessional, and irrational. Don't waste your time or money with this Salon.
Monroe Hair Studio – I have been going to Lana for about three years now and I do not trust anyone else with my hair color. It takes me 3.5 hours to get from my home to the studio and it's worth the drive. Lana is a genius with color and at cutting really thick hair. It is so great to have someone take the time to talk to you about what you really want then make sure it happens. I recomend all the young ladies at this studio!!!
Delia is AMAZING! – I recently made an appoinment with Delia to color and style my hair for a party. I had not been to her before but one of my friends is a long time client.. It was one of the best salon experiences I've ever had. Delia is a sheer genius, is SUPER nice, and just made me look gorgeous! I highly recommend her to anyone for any occasion. She has made a client for life.
Thank you Delia!
Wonderful! Budget and hair friendly! – Monroe is definitely my salon of choice now that I live in San Marcos. I lived in Austin for six years where I either had to pay at least $50 for a good hair cut, or I had to go to the crumby chain salons where a good hair cut is few and far between. Monroe fits perfectly into my grad student budget, plus my cut and experience were fantastic.
Kenzie fit me into her Saturday schedule immediately. I called at ten and my appointment was scheduled for noon. Going from a bob to a pixie-esque cut (a la Audrey Tautou's latest cut), I cut off about three inches of my curly hair, and I am entirely pleased with the result. The stylist next to me even complimented Kenzie's work on my hair. Kenzie is detailed oriented and a pleasure to converse with.
In a word, Monroe is wonderful!
AMAZING!! – Regarding not so nice... Bambi has done my hair for several years and is amazing! Every time I go, I get great feed back. I recommend her to anyone! I've seen the other girls at work and I am impressed. Go try Monroe Hair Studio for a great experience!
Love it! – In response to the last review...Have you ever been to a salon and not had to wait a few minutes?
Bambi has cut and colored my hair for sometime now and she has always done a wonderful job. If you were that disappointed with your cut, why did you not say something. I am sure she would have fixed it or even given you your money back.
I have even had my hair done by Lana and Kate and they both do a great job as well. I manage an apartment community in town and I recommend all new residents to Monroe.
not so nice haircut – So this place just opened up in the square, I was nervous to try it out but what the heck. I made an appointment with a girl named bambi or barbie something like that. I had to wait 15 min even though I had a scheduled appointment because they had a meeting. The girl needed lots of direction and seemed unsure. I ended up with uneven shelf layers that wee not blended at all and 40 dollars out of my pocket. I went to a beauty school the next day where i ended up as a lesson. How to fix a bad hair cut
