Upscale Olive Garden – This is just an upscale Olive Garden and nothing more. The obsequious waiter comes over and squirts the oil on the plate and then he's gone. Every other word out of this robot's mouth was "absolutely". Well, let me tell you, this place was absolutely crappy. The appetizers took way to long to arrive. The salad that came with my entree' arrived before the appetizers did. When the entrees did arrive, they were placed in front of the wrong person. The pasta dishes are HUGE, of course, since the pasta costs pennies per portion. They weren't so generous with the meat on the pasta dishes. One bowl of pasta is enough for at least two to three people. If you're not going home right afterward then there's no point in taking a doggy bag home. The waiter was not as attentive to our needs such as refilling the water glasses. When he did manage to swing by or we managed to get his attention it was "absolutely" this and "absolutely" that. I am absolutely never going there again. He yanked the plate right out from under my nose as soon as I had taken my last bite. The only reason he didn't do that to the other members of our table is because they had bowls of pasta overflowing because they could not possibly finish. The food is passable but don't expect a personalized experienced like at a real family-owned restaurant like Paesano's or even the little hole in the wall Lorenzo's on Medical Dr., which is very highly rated for its food btw. Expect to spend around 20 bucks person including one alcoholic beverage.
BEWARE IF ORDERING FAMILY STYLE! – We went to Maggiano's for our units Christmas lunch. 80 percent of our group wanted to order family style while the rest of us wanted to order off the main menu. I happen to like the meatball sandwich. Also, the last time I had family style, while there was plenty of food, the food got commercial real quick. We were told we couldn't do this - it was all or nothing so no one got to order family style. I thought this was rediculous and it tells me that Maggiano's is more interested in profits than satisfying the customer and that I did not appreciate!
