Put the coordinates 39.356394,-100.719556 into google maps. See all those long skinny buildings with little wire cubes coming from them?
Those are where all the parents live, all 834 (yes, over eight hundred dogs) parents that produce puppies for Sharon Munk.
This is the reality of the puppies that are sold by the pet pad. Do you really want a puppy that was bred in a place that keeps 800 adult dogs in cages their entire lives?
We bought our pug from Pet Pad 2 years ago. Our only other dog purchase was over a decade ago from a bullmastiff breeder that we researched to the nth degree. Our experience with Pet Pad was fabulous from the time we walked in the door. There was no sales pressure. The staff made the right choices for the tiny puppy while giving our family, including 2 very enthusiastic young children, and the puppy plenty of time to get to know each other. We left the first time without purchasing but armed with all the information we needed to make the right decision for the puppy and our family. When we returned to Pet Pad with the intention of enlarging our family by one very tiny and precious puppy, we could not have asked for more time or support. Our trusted vet checked the puppy with only the highest marks. We return often to see the staff and ohh-and-ahh over the animals. My family highly recommends Pet Pad. We are interested in a black pug this time, and Pet Pad is where we have our look out.
These reviews are bad... – I have always had great luck with the employees and quality of the pets from this store. Don't blast me... But seriously, are they all over you when you walk in... NO but I like that. You know when they pay attention to you? AFTER you have purchased something and you need help figuring out what the pet needs or if you need information you can ask.... But these people aren't sales people... they are pet people. So say what you want but I have had super awesome experience here!!
RUDE, MEAN owner, management and employees – This store is such a dissapointment in every way. Centrally located in Cary, feeding off Trader Joe's traffic....yet the employees are the rudest people I have ever come across in any store in a long time....The birds they sell are disgraceful....Marked WAAAAY up and fed nothing but seed mix and with filthy poopy water...A friend once made the mistake of buying a "hand-tamed" budgie from them. It died the next day! Their response was "oh well"......
Puppy mill puppies, pathetic parrots....What a disgrace! Keep away!!!!!! Too bad someone isn't doing this store right....actually trying to educate consumers and place the animals into proper homes.
This shop is out to make a buck and nothing more.
DO NOT SHOP HERE – The customer service in this store is by far the worst I have ever seen. They are rude and lazy. The store itself is filthy and disorganized. They overcharged me at the register and acted as if I was lying. I will NEVER return to this store again.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Large selection of pets for sale and adoption, including puppies, kittens, birds, reptiles and small mammals. Also pet care products.
EXTREMELY RUDE EMPLOYEES!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! – IF you can get an employee to help you or answer a question, they act as though you are bothering them! They are extremely rude and condescending!!! I told one employee I did not appreciate her rudeness. Her reply was, "oh well." So much for customer service, huh???
Their animals are not healthy!! PLEASE do not purchase an animal from them. First of all, they are overpriced and NOT well taken care of. Please consider a rescue or a REPUTIBLE breeder. If you want a pet, talk to other people and get suggestions. The animals at Pet Pad (formeraly Petland) have been overbred. You WILL have health issues with them!!!
Puppymill Store - DO NOT RECOMMEND – They get poor dogs bred in puppymills and sale them to make money. I do not recommend them. They are out to make money and could care less about the wellbeing of the poor animals health etc. and where they came from. The puppy may be adorable for sale but imagine how it's poor mother is that is left at the puppymill and constantly bred in cramped filthy cages with no air etc. DO NOT BUY PETS FROM PETSTORES. I've seen the horror too many times. As long as the old mother with a missing leg and teeth can keep producing cute puppies they could care less about her. Think about the puppy before you buy. If you buy a puppy in a pet store you are supporting the 'horrors of puppymills'!!!!!!!
