They taught my troubled dog what it meant to be a dog – I have been in rescue all my adult life in several different states. I have dealt with many vets, trainers and care facilities. I am very impressed with Pupsi and their staff.

About a year ago I acquired a dog that had been through heck and back. She trusted no one and had every right to feel that way. I brought her to Pupsi for help. She crawled in on her belly and snapped at several of the staff members. Within two weeks I picked up a happy dog that wagged her tail and happily greeted strangers. Though she may never be completely balanced she is happy. She now attends Pupsi day care at least 1 time a week and nearly runs to the back to go play with her friends. She also boards there and is always very happy to go. At the end of her boarding stay I get back a happy girl that smells good and seems to be 'played out'.

The staff knows my dog. They can tell me quirks about my dog... such as how when she is really happy she starts to chase her tail. This tells me that they are really watching her. They tell me little things about her stay. I can tell about the details that they care about her. She isnt just a 'dog' to them.. she is their girl also. I also like that I see the same faces. There isnt a huge turn around with the staff. The staff knows me and my girl. I know them.

When it comes to training I have been very impressed. I have recommended several dogs that have needed basic skills courses. These dogs have come out knowing how to walk well on a leash, sit and stay all without expecting a treat.

I also appreciate that during a home renovation and a recent surgery Pupsi has been very accomodating with my dog's boarding dates. All I had to do was call up and ask if Daisy could stay an extra day or two and there was never a problem. They quickly checked to make sure she had enough food, told me she was having a great time and said of course they had room for her. I paid for the extra days when I picked her up and I was never made to feel guilty or that I was putting them out because I was extending her stay.

Pupsi will always be a part of my life because of everything they have done for me and my girl.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! – As a professional dog trainer and owner of several breeds, I have visited Pupsi and gotten bad vibes from the owner of this facility.

The owner seemed excited talking about how ‘tough’ his dogs were, which alarmed me.

I truly question their experience and professionalism.

Quite a few of my friends have had the same bad vibes from this place and some have had bad experiences as well.

Do not send your dogs here EVER. Avoid avoid avoid!

ONLY PLACE GOOD ENOUGH FOR OUR FURRY-KIDS – After much trial and tribulation with other so called “dog daycare and boarding” places in Cary, we started taking our 2 yellow labs to Pupsi about 2 years ago. It has been the best choice we have made.

Our pups are our babies! Just as we always sought out the best schools for our human-kids, we only wanted the best for our furry-kids. We will not get into name calling and list the places where we have had such horrific experiences and these places were touted as the best. Rather, our focus here is to let you know all the many things that PUPSI does right and so well.

The owners, trainers and staff at PUPSI only have one main focus and that is on the well-being and safety of your furry-kids. What more can we ask for? Our pups [actually 4 years old now] are well taken care of, they are extremely excited to go there and to a point where they bolt right through the interior doors when they get there and forgot to say bye to us!

We are often gone for weeks at a time due to business travel but no matter how long the pups are at PUPSI, it is easy to tell that they had a great time, played lots, were very well cared for and happy to see us again till they can come back.

The best indication for us that our pups absolutely love being at PUPSI is the level of excitement we see in the pups the night before they go to "Camp PUPSI” as they call it. The minute they see their “camp” box for food, etc, come out of the closet, the energy level in our house is that of when our kids were younger and going off to one of their favorite activities,

We have tried the rest and take it from us, try the BEST now……PUPSI!

Treat dogs OK, Mary-Owner-condescending, disrespectful – I worked for Pupsi about a year ago for 6 months. While I was there, I was ignored, not trained properly, accused of lying (when I was told to do something by an employee, that apparently was against their policy.) then not paid what was promised.

I have never in my life (35 yrs) experienced such severe Narcissistic, condesending and disrespectful behaviour from an employer, or ANYONE for that matter.

If you notice as you read any bad reviews in tbis section, Mary Foster will respond to the complaintant, touting how she has this great reputation, Blah Blah Blah. They DO try to treat their animals well though.

If you notice... There is always an ad in the Classifieds of the N & O for workers at Pupsi. In THIS economy? Mosts "rescue" organizations have no trouble finding people to do this kind of work FOR FREE!

If you ever have any kind of problem at her facilty, you will NOT be getting any apology, or a refund, it just not worth it to deal with Mary Foster. GO TO CAMP BOW WOW, MUCH BETTER!!!

A second home for my dog! – My dog Roscoe has been going to Day Camp almost every weekday for the past few months. He started having issues staying at home by himself (even with another dog) and I couldn't bare to crate him while I was at work all day ,so I started to look for day care centers. Luckily I didn't have to look far from home and found Pupsi. Not only does Pupsi have the best rates and facilities around, they actually take my dog, who is considered a "bully breed" mix and discriminated against at most of the chain businesses. Roscoe was simply evaluated and is placed in an area with other dogs he plays well with- what a notion! Another perk was that while he is at Pupsi, he is running around and playing almost ALL day- for no extra charge! Some other facilities actually charged extra for "play time" or "social hour" and it was only a fraction of the day! Roscoe gets very excited anytime I say the word "camp" or I take down the leash he goes to camp with- he absolutely loves going and I feel secure knowing he's safe and well cared for while I'm at work!

Excellent facility! – I have been taking my beagle to Pupsi for the last year. He loves it! He basically falls asleep in the car when I pick him up because he is so worn out from playing! All of the other boarding places keep them locked up all day or have a small room for them to play in. Pupsi is different! I went on a facility tour last time and was so impressed with the cleanliness, attention to detail and the large play area that my dog loves. Having him at a place I can trust when I go out of town is priceless. I am so happy with the staff for being so caring of my little guy. Also, I moved to Charlotte but still board him here any chance I get!

Horrible customer service and my dog was scared to go back – I am writing this because i went to pupsi years ago and currently have heard a couple people say they've been recommended to go there and all i have to say is stay away. My dog was fine going the first couple times and then he started acting funny when i dropped him off. the last time i took him there he sat bewteen my legs, looked up at me and i started to cry and couldn't stop. he did not want to stay and was scared. I had no choice in not letting him stay my plane was leaving in 3 hours for vacation. I worried and cried the whole time. Please if you love you animals stay away.

I have not seen this customer for almost 4 years. Prior to her last visit which she describes in her review, she ALWAYS brought "Floyd" to our facility. That was the only place she felt comfortable. On his last visit, "Floyd" chewed on the chain link on his kennel door and chipped a tooth. His owner was very upset with us and did cry ... on the phone arguing with one of the owners, my husband, about the tooth. We did not know "Floyd" had injured his tooth and could not have done anything to stop him anyhow. Marisa did not cry when she dropped him off.

This "review" is very harsh and far from the truth. IF you love your animals, read the majority of our reviews, posted by people with all kinds of dogs from all over the state. And, come visit us anytime.

The BEST place to have a dog trained...ever... – My entire family is as soft as mush when it comes to dogs. Thanks to the edition of 2 rescues, we are now up to 4, and the only place we would ever dream of taking our dogs is Pupsi. We have used them for 3 years now, and they have consistently delivered every time. Tracy and the wonderful staff have worked with our spoiled monsters on everything from basic commands to walking to obsessive habits, and we see leaps and bounds of improvement every time we take them there. I was completely stunned to see how much progress one of my dogs made in one day on his tennis-ball obsession. The staff and assistants are completely professional, and any remark otherwise is a complete myth. I have never had any unpleasantness with anyone at the front desk, and it would do everyone who rated this place one-star well to remember that these are dog trainers and not the wait staff at TGIFridays or that server in "Office Space". Tracy, Mary, Trace, and the rest are totally amicable and friendly, but they are in a dog-based environment and they will stay cool and collected because it's part of how they maintain the peace. The place they work in is clean and tidy, and so well together they can even keep a parrot in the same room with many animals. Pupsi is the best place in town for dogs on any issue, from obedience to boarding to day care, and I can't wait to take mine in tomorrow. To the stafff and assistants at Pupsi, thank you so much!

Amazing service, Wonderful people, A love for dogs! – I have been taking my dog to Pupsi for daycare, boarding & grooming (on occasion) for over 2 years now! My dog has been going since he was 10 weeks old as they came highly recommended. I absolutely LOVE everyone there, and Max knows the word "daycare". He gets so excited he can hardly wait to get in the car & drive to Pupsi! The entire staff is amazing! They all know Max, know my name & enjoy what the do! Every time you walk in, they say hello, how are you, etc. It's a very family oriented place, and I know they keep my dogs and all their dogs (day care dogs & boarders) best interest in mind with every decision they make.

I have never once had a negative experience at Pupsi, and Max has gone at least once a week, sometimes more, for over 2 years!! The prices are wonderful, the outdoor play time is amazing and the customer service is top-notch. I highly recommend Pupsi, and would never take my dog anywhere else for day care or boarding.

Thanks to all the staff at Pupsi for treating my dog like your own! You all are wonderful!!

Wouldn't go there unless I really have to – - my dog was always coming with stong chlorine smell so I had to wash him pretty much every time after this day care

- after first couple of times my dog started to be afraid to go to this day care which I've never seen before for other day cares I've used (too bad I payed for a dozen visits in advance)

- one time after this day care my dog was throwing up whole night and when I called day care to ask them they pretty much yelled at me that I just don't excercize the dog and that's why he was throwing up (telling them my dog does walk about 1.5 hours every day did not even help them thing it might have been their fault)

- after I was done with my dozen visit they charged my credit card for next dozen visits even though I never authorized it and made it clear about my last visit, when I called them about that charge they said it was my fault as I must have said I'll keep coming, now more than a week after that call I am still waiting for a charge to be reversed...

UPDATE: yesterday I've got a call from Pupsi about this review and instead of trying to understand what went wrong with their service they just accused my of lying! I must say this is the first time I ever felt like I had to write a review for a business and I can sign each word I've put here.
