HORRIBLE. HAIR IN FOOD, RUDE PEOPLE. – About 2 months ago I was in Remington Grill and found a long hair in my burger. There was no way it could have been mine (I have black hair and it was blond.) My fiance doesn't like confrontation so I decided to stop eating my burger and leave the restaurant. I decided to give it another try last night. We were greeted by a girl at 8pm and everything was going smooth until for the second time in a row I pulled a brown short hair about the size of a pinkie in my burger. I felt this was enough to say something since it happened 2 times in a row. She asked if everything was ok and I proceeded to tell her no, that I found a hair in my food. She accused me of lying and asked to see the hair. I WAS FLOORED. I could not believe she thought I was lying. She asked to SEE the hair, and I told her I had thrown it on the floor. She then continued with the accusation saying there was no way this could have happened, that it was impossible. In the midst of telling her how offended I was she corrected me on a wrong use of a word, insulting me. DO NOT waste your time with rude, unprofessional customer service and disgusting hairy food!
Gone Downhill... – Back when my husband and I were NCSU students dating we loved this place and ate here at least once/week. This went on for years until they stopped giving you a whole "free sandwich" for your stamped card and instead gave you $6 then changed the menu so nothing except lunch specials was under that amount (of course you couldn't redeem your card on those specials). We grumbled but we still came to eat there. Then out of no where they started making you pay for fry refills. That would not be a problem except over half the time you go...you get the nasty cold and soggy fries that you want to exchange for fresh crispy ones.
Not knowing that they changed that, I went to get more fries because mine were crappy with my lunch special....and lo and behold the manager told me they did away with that special and I'd have to pay for the refill to replace the nasty fries they gave me. This was 2008 or 2007, we did not return and moved out of the area. A few months ago we moved back and even closer to Remington's than we were at NCSU. After several months at eating at all the OTHER eateries around Remington we decided to give them another try---WRONG. We weren't miffed when my usual sandwich was no longer on the menu as they could make it for $1.00 off the base price. I didn't bat an eye over paying fifty cents for THREE mini slices of jalapenos. I had good quality chicken on my sandwich and adding some banana peppers it was tasty (of course I had crappy fries though, cold and soggy). My husband got a steak sandwich which name escapes me but might start with an "s." Fatty and absolutely disgusting...I would not even feed that to the dog much less purchase that for human consumption. After cutting those parts out most of his meat ended up on the "trash" plate so he ended up with bad fries and a very sorry sandwich. That's the last money of ours that goes to Remington's, we'll be frequenting Bear Rock, Salsaritas, the new noodle place, Dickies or Chickfila if we eat in that area again.
Live Music – We went once on a Thursday evening & there was live country music! It was pretty cool. The food was good too. I would definitely go back... Casual restaurant where you order from the counter, then wait at your table until it's ready.
