very uncaring from my first panic phone call til I paid the bill it was all about the money! I mean i was asking directions while speeding to there place and she was telling me the fees....wish i would have chosen the emergency vet in wilson nc. It was not about the money I would have spent 10000 to keep my dog alive. No remorse no Im sorry nothing from the women vet techs either. It was not because they were busy either at 2am.

Absoutely wonderful in a terrible time – Everyone here is great. They are more than happy to answer questions by phone and to assess whether or not you need to bring your pet it, even if you end up not coming in and they make nothing from these calls.

My cat recently had a urinary tract blockage. We caught it early and it was cleared up by his regular vet, but we were warned that some cats do have another blockage soon after. Unfortunately, he ended up re-blocking over this past weekend and was very ill on Sunday morning. We brought him here and he was immediately taken back, even before they had us fill out paperwork or anything.

The vet that treated him, Dr. Bailey, was great. He came out and told us exactly what was going on and how it would be treated. He also said that he wanted to do an x-ray to rule out any other problems, giving us different scenarios of what could happen. He told us how much everything would cost - of course, cost was not the biggest concern since I only wanted to save my cat, but I really appreciate them letting us know up front the cost.

My cat ended up staying all day Sunday with an early Monday pickup. Dr. Bailey called us before the end of his shift Sunday to let us know how he was doing - very kind, since most vets will leave the responsibility of calling to check in on you.

After another day or so at his regular vet, my cat will be fine now. If we ever have another pet emergency, we will not hesitate to go to AEC of Cary!

The only emergency clinic in the area who would help – My cat requires fluids a couple of times a week due to kidney failure. After a horrible week, I realized I had forgotten to purchase a bag of fluids to get us through the weekend. I called all of the clinics in the area to see if they would sell me a bag of lactate solution for IV drip. (My cat is completely fine and normal as long as she gets this subcutaneously.) Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas on Tryon Rd in Cary was going to charge me $150 for what normally costs around $20! Another place wouldn't sell it to me at all. The vet at Animal Emergency Clinic in Cary was so nice and helpful, realizing that yes I had made a mistake, but didn't need to pay $150 for it. They charged me $36, which was very reasonable.

Great experience in an unfortunate situation – I have done animal rescue for more than 13 years in the Raleigh area and I've certainly seen my share of vet offices at all times of the day in some dire situations. I was recently referred to Animal Emergency Clinc-Cary to provide after-hour supportive care to a gravely sick kitten. I found the facility emaculate and the staff extremely responsive and caring. Dr. Watkins is a jewel. She spent a long time with me explaining the kitten's situaton and giving good advice. He spent two nights at the clinic and each morning when I picked him up, he was brighter and perkier than when he was dropped off the previous night. I could clearly see that they were giving him a lot of attention. The cost of the care was very reasonable. I plan to make this my regular emergency veterinary hospital.

Bad service – 95 dollars for OV and nothing was done, told to follow up with my vet. My vet had to do all testing and studies. They left my pet to suffer, didn't not care a bit about it.
