The remodel was nice, the food wasn't. Our wait staff was excellent, the new look inside is top notch. The new menu tricks you into saying it's a trendy restaurant, then you get your butter flavored hashbrowns, burnt toast, and anything else they could slather some grease on. But at least it's 150% more in cost than other spots nearby. I will definitely return to the building as soon as a new restaurant takes Hector's place.

Definitely the after-party-munchie spot. on Franklin St. Of course there is Time Out, but you want good food right?! The Double Cheeseburger on pita is to die for. There will be long lines if you get here after 1:30 or 2:00am, but it moves relatively fast. Definitely stop by after a night on Franklin St. because the late-night food doesn't get much better than this!

bum's rush. Sunday breakfast for a few friends was OK, but over-priced, and even though there were tables available the discourteous and sour-faced maitre d' gave us notice to vacate the window table we 3 were enjoying within 10 minutes, as "this table is reserved." Hector isn't generous at all

College Memories. Attending UNC-CH, how could I not mention Hector's. There is absolutely no better place to get a good ol' cheeseburger after a night on the town. Their fries are great and the gyros are really good too. Of course, things are a little different since they had to rebuild after the fire, but the food remains just as wonderful.

hard to believe reviews on this page. The first two guys must work at Hector's. Let's be serious - the food is good, but....it's a cheeseburger and gyro place. Oh, I forgot, it was *very* romantic. I think I'll take my wife there for our anniversary.

Charming and Inexpensive. I love this place. It is excellent if your looking for a quiet, peaceful and inexpensive dinner. The food is diner fare (burgers are a best bet). Every time Ive went the waitress was attentive and very friendly! So far Ive always had a positive experience.
