These guys are really impressive! When I first parked in their lot, I saw that there were high end European cars everywhere which was a bit intimidating. I drive a 2002 Toyota Camry and needed to have smog repairs done. I walked in the office and they explained that they were Gold Shield Certified and can work on all makes and models. Chris, the service guy, walked through the process of diagnosis and what repairs were recommended. No one like spending money on smog repairs but these guys made it as painless as possible. Thanks!

Wow! Wow! Wow! – I have going the Mercedes Dealer since 2004. The last straw was when they quoted me $3000 for a hydraulic pump for my suspension on my CL55 AMG Mercedes. I took my car to CAS for a second opinion. They immediately had a loaner car ready and waiting for me. They were friendly and John S periodically gave me updates on my vehicle. My car was fixed at CAS for $513!! This place is amazing. It feels like the dealership without the shotgun sales and high prices. Thank you!!

STAY AWAY – Took my car there and they over charged me. Two weeks later the problem that they "fixed" was back. Took it back to them and they wanted to try and charge me EVEN MORE to fix something completly different. I asked them why they fixed the wrong thing last time I was here, there response, "sorry we thought it was the right thing to do" I took my car elsewhere. It was much cheaper and they actually fixed the problem. these people are rude and seem to not really know what they are doing. Beware

Really easy to work with! – I don't have the nicest car; it's a Toyota pick-up truck. I brought it in on a busy 4th of July weekend. They were able to diagnose the problem but could not get parts. Their service writer Chris, immediately offered to put me in a loaner car without even asking. I couldn't believe it! Just from what I saw that day, you can really tell that they take care of their customers. As long as I live in LA, they are my place!

i would'nt trust my car anywhere else – Been there several times and i always have a great experience. My AUDI is always taken care of properly and quickly. The last time i was there for tires, it literally took less than one hour to get 4 new tires installed. And this was on a busy saturday. Saturdays are by far their busiest days. come early if you can. I live up the street so i drop my car off and they call me when its ready. They offer shuttle service but i'd rather walk. I've done my smog checks their, tune ups, tires, oil changes. They crew is very knowledgable and always fun to chat with. they arent the cheapest place in town but by far the most reliable. i'd rather pay a few extra bucks and have peace of mind as opposed to worrying about some yahoo working on my car that has no clue what they are doing. my mom's car failed a smog check and they helped her get $500 from the state of california in some consumer assistance program thing to help with the repairs. really a cool bunch of guys. did i mention they are open on sundays too. oil change in 15 minutes! unlike ez lube right next door, they never try to sell you more than you need. i even got a free car wash coupon last time because i spent over $200. i wouldnt trust my car anywhere else.

Don't seem to know or care how to properly fix cars – Brought my Lincoln in for a leak and an unidentified noise. Noise turned out to be the a/c compressor. Leak was a tranny seal. Picked up the car after the week and a half that it took them to fix. Car now had creaking and clunking noises from front end, and under full throttle a fan belt sqeal. They looked at fan belt and front end noise and after 2 days told me front noise was a bad ball joint ($200) and the fan belt was fine (they offered no explanation for the belt sqeal). I had them fix the ball joint and after another 2 days my car was ready. Again there was noise comming from the front end. Again I went back and the service writer, John S, was not pleasant and told me perhaps they couldn't fix the problem. Again I left the car. Next day car was ready! Was told they lubed the front end. Not too bad. Only very slight nosie now. Let car sit for a week or so at home. Went to use it and surprise--the a/c was not cold (had just paid them $1,000. 2 weeks ago for the new a/c compressor) and again the front end was creaking. After taking the car back 2 or 3 more times for the a/c they found a fitting loose and a bad high pressure hose (another $400.---hmmmmm). Again they lubed the front end and I was told by John S.that was all they could do. All in all a very bad experience and a lot of my time. Yes they did fix the leak and finally the a/c (at a cost of nearly $3000.) but not the front end noise nor the belt sqeal. To further add to the experience, John S. was at times almost confrontational and at best indifferent to my frustration.

Affordable and Quick – I took my car in for brakes and they were fast, affordable, and had great customer service. They even have coupons on their website. They fixed my brakes and didn't come up with a list of "other needed repairs." I hate when mechanics do that!

A bunch of buffoons and my BMW – It started when I called looking for a place that either sold new wheels or re-chromed my wheels for my 98' BMW 740IL. The owner, Danny, said he could take my wheels and give a new set for only $160 each wheel. It sounded too good to be true. As it turns out all he did was go through 1 800 USED RIMS which I could have done myself. The car now wobbled and shuddered when I drove it, especially at speeds over 50 mph. I brought it back and explained the problem. It took a few days before I heard anything and when I did I was told that it was the lower arm-bushings. I explained that I had those replaced by a BMW dealership less than 17k miles ago but the owner was sure this was the problem so I let him try to fix it. Another week went by when I finally heard from him (after calling numerous times) that my car was ready. The problem was still there. I explained how upset I was that I brought my car in working fine and now it was undriveable. He told me that I should have mentioned the problem wasn't there to begin with (I HAD!) because now they had to try something else. He tried "tightening" the steering wheel and once again, a few days later, called and said "I think we fixed the problem, it isn't wobbling AS BAD now". I was furious and told them that if they didn't fix the problem free of charge and in the next three days that I would take it to a dealership, send him the bill and that I was considering taking legal action. Finally he re-chromed my original wheels (after I suggested it) and the problem was fixed. I tried to get out of paying for the bushings (which he sent to a third party just like the wheels) but they refused because they would lose money and offered me a 10% discount. Rather than admitting he screwed up by not recognizing the problem he blaimed the wheel company for sending bad wheels. I considered taking them to small claims but it wasn't worth the hassle. I'm no car expert but this was one of the worst experiences with ANY business ANYWHERE!
