I came here for the first time with my boyfriend, there was no host at the door...finally he he came to great us. We sat in out booth for about 5 min before anyone came to our table. Both my boyfriend and I work in the resturant industry. A server came and asked us what we wanted to drink.we told her what we wanted then another server approached us and asked us what bwe wanted to drink very rude, she never introduced herself or cared to ask if we have ever been there,we just blew that off, she seemed to be very upset that the first server greeted us first(which was actually the bartender) then she came back 2 seconds later and said well are you ready to order we kindly said no we would like an appitizer....eventually she took our order, I was not happy with the meal that I got, so when she came to check on us I said Im not quite happy with the taste would it be ok if I got something diffrent? She once again with an attitude said so you just want to change your entire order. I said yes is that a problem can you just hand me your plate then. Before I even gave her my plate I asked to speak to a manager. The manager herself seemed wacked out.didnt seem to have a clue of anything,We ended up not eating and just leaving....and the bartender ended up handing our check to us.Horrible first time experience and will never return

Best Mexican Food in Central Ohio – We finally discovered Los Jalapenos and we are so glad we did. For years we frequented El Vaquero but no more! Los Jalapenos' Carne Asada is the best I ever ate. It is a serious steak grilled to perfection. Their guac is off the charts. The margaritas are great, including a surprisingly delicious avocado margarita, really!.Their desserts are fabulous and Gahanna has the best wait staff (esp. Maria) and manager (Shannon). The atmosphere is fun and the food is delicious. We come with the whole family and always enjoy it.

That was some gooooood food*!!! – Myself and my three kid's stopped in at Los Jalapenos in Gahanna for dinner last nite, and it was the best experience I have ever had... The staff and managment were super nice and fun I might add. My 3 year old boy had a horrible tooth pain so as soon as we were seated the server asked what was wrong, I explained and before I turned around he had 3 popsickles for my kids, My little boy had the biggest smile on his face, Anyways from begining to end it was a wonderful time... The food, service & prices were amazing... I will be coming back very soon. It is a perfect family enviorment!!!! Thank's Los Jalapenos!!!

Los Jalapenos has great food!! – A friend and I went for lunch last week and we both had the fajita salad . WOW was it good. they put peppers and grilled onions in a large tortilla bowl with beans and lettuce tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream. the flavor of the steak on top is terrific. We just had to have a margarita to go with it. We would have stayed longer but had to get back to work. we will be going again.

Very Good! – What an improvement the new management has made! Their effort to make Los Jalapenos a high quality, friendly restaurant is apparent. The new menu has been improved and every meal I've tried has been delicious - and let's not forget those great Martgueritas! My servers have always been polite and attentive. If you haven't visited since the new management - I would suggest a re-visit, you won't be disappointed.

New Management made a difference – As regular customer of Los Jalapeños, it was a disappointment to me and my family when the service and quality started to decline. We stopped visiting Los Jalapeños and started patronizing neighboring restaurants that offer similar fare. I recently heard that the management had changed and gave them another try. I'm GLAD I did, and recommend that you do, too.

Service, food quality, wait times, etc have never been better. I discovered that one of the owners is actually managing the restaurant again and it shows. TAKE THE WHOLE FAMILY! My 4 year old son is rewarded with balloons and silly bands after every meal. Instead of pushing an over-priced desert, everyone at the table gets a free Popsicle!

These guys know how to make dining an experience.

WORST MEXICAN FOOD EVER!!!!!!!!!! – Took family from out of town out for Mexican. El Vaquero had a 45 minute wait so we went to Los Jalapenos. This was the worst dinner experience we have ever had. We were seated promptly and ordered drinks and the "freshly made quacomole at your table". Within minutes the server came back and said they couldnt do it since they were too busy. Then 2 different people said the same thing and the manager made us feel as if it were our fault they were busy. We were offered fresh quac from the kitchen but they couldn't make it at our table as the menu highlighted. This seemed to be a major selling point for them and then we were told we couldnt have it that day. We settled for the "fresh" guac that was made "that morning" or so we were told. It came and was obviously from a package topped with tomatoes to make it look fresh. We ordered the fajitas, enchilladas and tacos for our meals. After waiting for nearly 40 minutes for our meals we finally got them. The fajitas were cold and still raw in the middle of the chicken. You could tell they microwaved it and then put grill marks to make it look fresh. The "skillet" wasn't even sizzling when it came like a good mexican restaurant would. The Enchilladas were almost pure soup and had very little ingredients in them. The beans that were served had hot dog's mixed in, like we were at a barbecue joint and not a mexican spot. We had to send all the meals back since they were all cold, undercooked and very poor. All meals had burnt rice with it and cold "grilled" vegis. The manager said we had to pay for all the meals since she felt it was good quality food. She kept insisting that the food was "excellent", but she didnt want to eat anything on our table after i offered her a bite. She tried to make us feel like it was our fault. As we were leaving we saw two other tables send back their food as well. So we were glad to see it wasnt just us. The best stuff on the menu was the Tecate beer. The server was yelled at constantly for not working hard enough even though she had 10 tables to take care of. More staff was needed. Needless to say had we just stuck out the wait at El Vaquero across the street we would have had a great experience. I just hope nobody got sick from eating anything there as it very well could happen. Will never eat there again.
