Tasty cocktails, plates of french-inspired fare and a room that is a visual treat - that's what keeps me coming back to Bastille. Grab a seat under the Paris Metro clock and start your night (or afternoon) off right with a glass of bubbly and a dozen oysters.

Great falafel, croque monsieur and cocktails plus their '20 buck schuck' means you can get 12 bivalves Sun - Thu for yep, $20. The large bar and outdoor patio are perfect places to meet friends for happy hour or dinner.

In addition to enjoying their cocktails & food, check out special events like tours of their rooftop garden or mussels on Mondays during the colder months.

Delicious and affordable Sunday brunch, classically French. Awesome back bar area that specializes in whiskey cocktails and outdoor patio.

Not just a dinner and drink destination in Ballard. Succulent house smoked salmon plate satisfied in a way most Brunch's promise. Go now!

Frenchtastic – Subway tiles, fabulous lighting, and cozy wood tables, Bastille is bustling every night of the week with Ballard's finest. The menu is diverse and a nice addition to Ballard Ave's restaurant choices. I am hooked on the steak sandwich with frites and gruyere dipping sauce but the cassoulet and onion soup are wonderful too. The cocktails are great here and they have a good selection of French wines to choose from. Start the night with their vodka lemon rosemary cocktail; delightfully refreshing. The service has been slow on occasion but hasn't detracted too much from the overall experience. It's made it to my top-five list for Ballard.

*Be prepared to wait for a table. I recommend sidling up to the bar for a cocktail to pass the time.

4th and final time - never again! – Each time same thing - terrible service with an attitude. So we, my wife and I tried again, and again the same thing - waitress treated us like we were invisible. We brought our neighbors, another couple, and they agreed with the terrible wait and poor service. We brought our two son's and their girlfriend just before Christmas, and again, the waitress just couldn't be bothered. But patrons just can't enought of the place. So have fun waiting for poor service and mediocre/small portioned food.

Citysearch Editorial Review – French-influenced foods filled with herbs and greens grown on a rooftop garden are the highlight at this Ballard eatery.
