These guys did an AMAZING job on my car! My car had extensive body damage, several dents and a big chunk taken out of the back bumper from a rear end collision. The quote they offered was very reasonable, and cheaper than what any other body shop had offered me in Raleigh. The quote included body repair work and a new paint job.
My car now looks nearly brand new, it doesn't even look like the same car. My friend had her car repaired and painted around the same time, and the shop she went to charged more and kept her car for three weeks. Peach only had my car for three days and delivered exactly what they promised.
I suggest being very gentle with your car the first few days after the paint job. My friend and I were careful even opening the door to our cars, because it takes a few weeks for the paint to completely dry. There is a small smudge on my door handle from when I forgot to be careful in the first two days.
Overall, very reasonable rates, amazing work, and exemplary customer service!
Great and Friendly place!!!! I got my car painted pearl white and it turned out great. I have had no problems with the paint bubbling up or peeling off. The manager Bob was very friendly and informative, they have great service and they are very affordable.....Thanks guys!!!!!!!
Do Not Go Here! – Save your time and your money and go to Maaco to get your car painted. I had a dent taken out of my car and it also repainted. The first time they did an ok job but the paint started to bubble up and chip so I took it back for them to redo which they said they would. They told me it would take them three days to repaint it....it took them two weeks. They would never call me or return my phone calls so after two weeks I finally went over and demanded for my car back. The inside was dirty so I made the guy there clean it. Then I met Bob, complete and total jerk who calls himself a Christian. Horrible businessman. I was livid and beyond mad. The paint job looked ok at first but after a few weeks it started to chip and bubble up. It is now turning white in some places because peaches did not put a clear coat on. They also got paint on my chrome trim and my lights and while putting back on my accord emblem they got glue on my car which I cannot get off. You get what you pay for...crap. So do not go here!!
The bad reviews are true. – I had my car painted here more than a year ago, and it was a decent job for a few hundred bucks. Since then, this guy, Bob, has come to run the place, and he is indeed a terrible businessman.
Last year, I had some parts (a bumper and a factory spoiler) that they painted the wrong color (under the former management). They were going to respray and try to match the color better for me for free (as they should have). Well, at some point the management changed. The manager that I worked with that was friendly, pleasant, and honest, is now gone. They never resprayed it. They never returned my calls. Unfortunately, this project wasnt at the top of my priorities so it stayed with them for months and months. I finally wanted to get the ordeal over with and just take my parts back. They pulled them out and sprayed them off, (they had just been sitting out exposed, covered in paint dust), but refused to give them to me without the original receipt. I managed to prove I was who I said I was, but they keep no records of their jobs...apparently even if they haven't been completed yet and picked up! Awesome business practice!
Also, the parts were covered in scratches, dings, chips, and scuffs. Bob refused to do anything about it. The receipt that I found that showed I paid the bill apparently wasnt the right kind of receipt, and it needed to be a YELLOW piece of paper, which I never got for this job. (my fault?)
So I payed these guys 200 bucks to paint my parts the wrong color, bang em up, and store them for me for months. Great.
Quincey is a nice guy, and if you read this Quincey, FIND A BETTER PLACE TO WORK! YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THESE CROOKS.
Horrible Service! – Terrible, crooked jerk named Bob. No people skills. Money crazy will only accept cash which he puts in his pocket. Wonderful guy who first helped us named Quincey. Then we picked up car and it was the wrong color. Bob was a jerk blaming everyone else and the girl told us she did it but it wasn't her fault?? She seemed real friendly with the boss. After arguing about it not being their fault and we refused to take car without a discount which we got ($69). Then the nice guy Quincey called and said they had to have the money back. That they were taking it out of his pay. And it was not even his fault!!! I think the boss made him call. They are crazy!!!!!!! I wish I owned a shop because I would hire Quincey so such a nice guy would not have to work for such a stupid, arrogant jerk!!!! Unbelievable!!
Peach.....no good – I spent the money I got for Christmas to get my 97 Honda painted. In less than a year the whole car was cracking and peeling and I bought the majestic package. I took it back and they said they would repaint it and they did but...it took almost a week and when I got it back the whole car on the inside reeked of paint. I get to looking and my car was filthy on the inside...it was like they painted the car with the door open. I have a custom radio and there was paint dots all over it, the dash, the windows, everything! I have to ride with my windows down because the smell is soo strong. I also paid for pin stripes when I got it painted the first time but the second time they did not put them back on there. I do not recommend this paint service to anyone!!!
Excellent value, good guys. – So my car ended up at Peach after a very kind hit and run driver destroyed the side of my beloved Del Sol. I was first quoted at a body shop under my insurance company that gave me what seemed to be a ridiculous estimate to just repair the damage on the car and simply match the existing paint, which wasn't so great to begin with because the car was a 94. I then, out of interest, went to Peach where David quickly ran me up an estimate that included repainting the entire car after repairing the body damage for half of what the first shop had quoted me. This almost worried me a little bit, being such a cost difference between the two services, with Peach offering more. I should point out that the paint job I got was NOT the 300 dollar base/clear mix they advertise, as I had seen a friends 300 dollar paint job from a Maaco or some similar establishment fade terribly after 6 months. I opted for their 3rd tier paint job that included a separate clear coat and was only a couple hundred dollars more. So I drop off the car with them and they keep it for about 4 days to do all the body work and paint and then call me in to come talk to them. I was a bit concerned about the voicemail and when I got there I was disapppointed because I saw a section on the door that was a bit textured, the rest of the car looking incredible. So Bob comes out and tells me that there was an issue with the paint and he'd like to wait for the paint to cure and then repaint the whole car for me to have it done right. It was a little frustrating to have to wait a couple weeks and then paint it again and go through the whole paint fumes, not able to put parts back on until it was dry, etc. again but I was incredibly happy that they found the job being right important enough to have repainted a car they just painted for me at an already cheap rate. I'm sure they weren't making much money off my job as Bob and David told me their body guy had spent over 2 days just on my cars damage and then two separate paint jobs, but they did it to keep the customer(me) happy. So I got it redone a couple weeks after and this time it's perfect. You can't tell it was ever in an accident, and my insurance had actually considered the car a total loss (if I'd filed a claim), with the fender/door/both quarter panels being badly damaged. The paint is a beautiful color, but I'm more so impressed by the body work. It really does look amazing. Since getting the car back a week ago I have had more than 10 people stop me walking in parking lots/school/etc. to tell me this was the nicest Del Sol they'd ever seen. I'm not exaggerating either, more than 10. If you're looking for a good paint job at a good price, Peach will get you there. Again I can't say anything about their 300 dollar jobs, but the paint I got and the body work they did have me incredibly satisfied with their work. I would certainly recommend their services to anyone wanting to make an ugly or damaged car look nice again.
WORST PAINT JOB EVER AND ABSOLUTE WORST CUST SERVICE!!1 – THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PAINT JOB I HAVE EVER SAW AN ADULT, SPRAY. PEACH IN RALEIGH HAS IN THE PAST BEEN GREAT, CUST SERVICE,PAINT, TIME IN AND OUT, DAVID HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT. BUT NOW I DROPPED OFF MY VEHICLE AND THEY KEPT IT 9 DAYS. THEY DID NOT CALL ME I CALLED THEM DAVID WAS OUT SICK AND THE MGR. BOB MCGAFFEN WAS IN CHARGE, WHEN I CALLED AND ASKED FOR DAVID ,BOB TOLD ME HE WASNT EITHER I WANTED HIM TO HELP OR NOT, HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW IF DAVID WOULD BE BACK, I WENT TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE AND GAVE MY NAME AS I DID ON THE PHONE AND BOB AGGRESIVELY TOLD ME THEY DID NOT GO BY NAMES BUT BY CAR WHAT KIND OF CAR AND COLOR WAS IT.WHEN PICKING UP AT LUNCH, I WALKED IN AND BOB ASKED ME TO STEP OUT OF THE OFFICE SO HE COULD SPEAK TO HIS EMPLOYEE, THEY COULD GO INTO SHOP OR ANOTHER OFFICE, SO I STOOD IN THE SUN UNTIL HE FINISHED, I WORK FOR A DEALERSHIP AND RECOMMEND PEACH ALL THE TIME UNITL NOW I ASKED BOB FOR MORE BUSINESS CARDS AT WHICH POINT BOB INFORMED ME THAT HE DOESNT LET HIS EMPLYEES GIVE OUT CARDS THEY ARE A WASTE, AND THEY DONT NEED THE REFERRALS THEY ATRE BUSY ENOUGH, THE CAR WAS NOT PIN STRIPED I HAD TO WAIT AND THEY WERE OUT OF SILVER, SO THEY USED CHARCOAL ON BLK PAINT, THERE ARE THREE RUNS IN PAINT ON DRIVERS SIDE THAT STICK OUT 1/4 INCH. THE PAINT IS PUDDLED UP ON ROOF BY THE WINDSHEILD,PAINTED MINDSHIELD MOULDING TO CAR IN SPOTS,SANDED THE CHROME AROUND MIRRORS,SANDED CHROME OFF HONDA EMBLEM ON GRILL. PAINT IS ORANGE PEELED, AND FISH EYES ALL AROUND THAT SHOW THE UNDER PRIMER,SO PAINT SURFACE WAS CONTAMINATED, TAPE PAINTED INTO EDGE OF HOOD.AND ALL THIS WAS FROM THE CAR JUST BEING PAINTED AT PEACH IN FEB. THIS YEAR AND THE PAINT CRACHED UP ALL OVER, AND BUMPER PEELED, WAS TOLD PPG PAINT PRODUCED A BAD BATCH, SO THEY HAD TO SAND OFF CRACKED UP PRIVIOUS PAINT WHICH IS STILL CRACKED UP ON ROOF AT THE EDGES OF THE MOHICAN STRIPS. SANDED MY LENS'S. AND AGAIN KEPT MY VEHICLE 9 DAYS SO I HAD TO BORROW A FRIENDS CAR. I DO UNDERSTAND THEY PRIVIOUS 5 CARS I HAD PAINTED HERE DONT MEAN ANYTHING NOR THE DOZENS AND DOZENS OF CUST. I HAVE SENT THEM. BOB HAS NO CUST SKILLS AND NEEDS TO LEARN THAT WITH OUT CUST OUR BUSINESS DOES NOT SUCCEED. MY CUSTOMERS ARE THE REASON I HAVE A JOB. AGAIN WORST PAINT JOB I HAVE SEEN. SIGNED KEN HUNTER!
"BEST PAINT JOB I HAVE EVER HAD!" – THE MANAGER ("DAVID") IS ONE OF THE NICEST GUYS YOU'LL EVER MEET. HE WILL GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE ON WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO YOUR CAR OR TRUCK. BUT WILL NOT PRESSURE SELL ANYTHING. IF YOU WANT A CERTAIN TYPE OF PAINT JOB, THAT IS WHAT YOU'LL GET. BUT YOU BETTER BE READY FOR A BIG SURPRISE! WHEN YOU SEE YOUR CAR OR TRUCK. YOU'RE GOING TO BE AMAZED! MY LITTE GIRL'S '96 MUSTANG DIDN'T LOOK THIS GOOD WHEN IT ROLLED OF THE SHOW ROOM FLOOR IN 1996. I MEAN WOOOOOOW! IT LOOKED LIKE A $2000.00 CUSTOM PAINT JOB. AND FAST, I DROPPED MY CAR OFF ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON. AND MONDAY MORNING I GOT THE CALL TO PICK IT UP, IT WAS READY. I SAW BMW'S, AUDI'S, CADILLAC'S, CAMERO'S, MUSTANG'S, DODGE'S, THEY DO THEM ALL. NO ONE CAN BEAT THESE GUYS! THEY HAVE REALLY GOT IT GOING ON. THANKS FOR A GREAT PAINT JOB. YOU WILL ALWAYS GET MY BUSINESS.
Great experience and paint job at Peach – I got a 2002 Honda Accord repainted in December 2010. Peach and David did it in about 1/4 the time the next fastest place quoted me and WAY less. So much more that I was suspicious, but they were really professional and knowledgeable. I won't say how fast it was or how much because I don't know that it happens that way everyday, but even doubling both I would be pleased at this point.
They also did a lot of work on the car - you may notice that every Honda Accord of that era has a bunch of metal showing through the paint. They sanded everything down on the hood, trunk, and roof and repainted.
I have had our cars detailed a few times since then and the guy is always amazed at the paint job. and he sees a lot. It's not dealership quality, but by his estimation I got a quality paint job that would have easily cost me several thousand more dollars if I got it somewhere else.
