first time\last time – Roast beef special was dry and on a kaiser roll. No aux jus was offered. Apparently they buy from US Foods instead of cooking Roasts themselves. The portion was small and they charged $11...

Worst Deli I have ever been to.

not good – Rude employees to female customers. They grab money out of hand of customers, rush to get rid of,talk back rude, look at other people while female customers are ordering, interrupt, give rude looks, rush to get rid of,try to start fights, put crumgs off tables onto floor not clean up,not know the answer not volunteer to get the answer, walk away female customers are talking to them and not come back, talk to other employees and gossip while waiting on female guests.at end of order run away and not come back. And not say anything.Management sees it and does nothing.give food orders know it is wrong. Not volunteer to do anything.

Fresh, excellent food in a casual enviornment – The Village Deli is an excellent value for the dollar, the food is always hot and fresh. Their veggie on ciabatta bread is AMAZING! The kids love their grilled cheese and I love the fries. The staff is very friendly, the place is spotless. I love the high ceiling and the comfortable chairs. I can only give them my highest recommendation!

Overpriced, Mediocre Food – I've been a fan of The Village Deli off Aviation Parkway in Morrisville, NC for quite some time, but the Cameron Village, Raleigh location has some catching up to do. Particularly for the sandwiches, the quantity and quality of the food does not warrant the expensive priceses.

Be prepared to pay around $10 for a sandwhich, drink, and a bag of chips. I ordered the Shrimp Burger, and to my surprise, I received a total of 5 small shrimp. Raleigh Times Bar piles the shrimp high for the same price, served on an actual plate. You can actually get higher quality food for the same price or cheaper around the corner at Cameron Bar and Grill.

If The Village Deli is going to continue to offer deli quality food, they need to begin charging deli prices.

Pretty good for a pretty penny – It's definitely in a convenient location in the heart of Cameron Village. The staff are friendly enough. It gets super crowded, food from the grill takes a long time, and once I had a salad there that tasted like chemicals. Overall though the food is tasty--your general deli fare with some flashy specials. However, it is VERY expensive.

Great Lunch Specials – This place is GREAT since they have expanded their restaurant and updated the menu and staff. It is not your average deli. "Amazing daily specials"( Had the wasabi seared tuna with homemade ponzu sauce... EXCELLENT). The staff is genuine and friendly. They now have breakfast, which is also really good, especially their omelets. It does get pretty busy during lunch hours, but they make everything in house and to order, so it is worth the wait and the extra dollar. The Chef/Manager told us last week during the "tomato scare" that they try and use as much locally grow produce as possible. They got tomatoes from the farmers market. Nice to see a local business help out another.

cramped, slow, mediocre – Like other review, owner/manager was rude and condescending. Popular, judging by the crowd but why? I guess there's no other place for the lunch crowd around here to eat. Sandwiches were nothing special, good but just ok, nothing to write home about.

Mediocre at best – Just wanted to comment that a $6 sandwich gets you the bread, 3 ounces of meat, and a pickle. I mean my sandwich was the size my Mom packed me for 3rd grade. The quality of food is fine, but obviously there are much better deals to be had. If you bring a big appetite make sure your wallet is full.

Employers or Slave-drivers? – I would consider the food at Village Deli to be average, nothing more or less, compared to other eateries of the same calibre in the area. In fact, I am a huge fan of chicken salad, and find the dish here to be a bit bland. What concerns me more about this place is the way in which their employees are treated! From what I have heard and seen, the management and owners act more like slave-drivers than actual employers that care for their employees. They resort to yelling insults, making degrading comments, and shouting out orders to these young people who are working at mininum wage. The impact of these actions outweigh, in my opinion, the quality of food and service. Therefor, I would choose any other restaurant in the area over Village Deli any day of the week.

Good, but cramped – The food is fresh, good and appetizing, but a tad on the pricy side. The service is spotty - the staff is either friendly or very snotty. The soups are excellent.
