best stylist found!. I recently visited Wild Root Salon in Northgate mall for the first time. I went in for a partial foil with Courtney. I had a foil (from a previous stylist) that left my hair very brassy and not highlighted at all so I really needed it to be fixed. Courtney is probably the most attentive stylist I have ever been to, she asked me a lot of questions and tried to really understand what I wanted in a hair color. She brought out shades for me to look at even went over some pictures with me. She took her time and was very thorough with the foil, I don't know that I have had anyone ever take the time to make sure they truly knew what I wanted. My hair turned out awesome! The color is amazing, it looks very natural yet has beautiful highlights. She used two colors which I don't know if I've had before (or the stylist just didn't tell me they used two). I'm definitely going back to Courtney for all of my foils. I am also going to go to her for my next hair cut so I can see what amazing things she can do with that too.
This salon is doing their thing, and its working!. Wild Root Salon has been my saving grace when it comes to hair for a few years now and I have yet to be let down. Wild Root is where comfort food meets your best friend meets urban sheik. From the moment you step into the unpretentious atmosphere of the salon you’re greeted with genuine smiles, hot tea, and a hairstylist that actually cares about your needs. Imagine that! It’s an Aveda salon, so you know that the products they use won’t kill you in ten years. The service is unlike anything else I have ever seen. Donna, the owner of both locations, is the God Mother of cut & color greeting most clients by name upon arrival. The stylists I personally recommend are Courtney and Joel. Courtney can take your idolized magazine clipping of Jennifer Aniston’s latest tendrils and turn it into reality with the simplest of ease and Joel has scissor skills like I’ve never seen. To sum it up: both Wild Root locations exude a comfort and friendly atmosphere that I think most salons have lost over the years. Try them out, you won’t regret it.
A Great Experience.
I went here because I had an aveda pure privelidge gift certificate. I had never gone to this salon before and I didn't know anyone who had. I had no expectations but I had a gift cert. for $150 and I desperately needed a cut and color.
Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Tanya cut and colored my hair and did such an amazing job. My hair is greying and wavy and not easy to cut. I love what she did. I also got a lip and brow wax from Ashley and she was great too. I was so pleasantly surprised and I will definitely go back again.
