Took my money, still have a broken watch.
I've reported them to the BBB as well. Here is the timeline and a list of a lot of abuses:
May 4th, 2011 Took my watch to Watch and Jewelry fix in Seatac Mall. I was told the repair tech would call me in a couple days.
May 11th, 2011 Didn't get a call. I called the repair tech for the quote. Agreed to $70 to replace the winding and the mechanism. I was told it would be ready in two weeks.
6 10 2011 3PM Had called repeatedly for a month. Finally got a call that the watch repair was completed and drove out to pick up watch. Three minutes later while eating in the food court, the watch stopped (broken mechanism). I took it back. The beligerant repair tech shrugged his shoulders and said it was "cheap Chinese parts" and said that was what I get for $70. He said to leave it with him for two days and he would test it.
6 10 2011 4PM My shock faded and I called back and demanded my original mechanism back and the watch restored and my money refunded. He told me that he probably couldn't find the original mechanism in the pile of dead parts and convinced me to wait two days.
6 22 2011 2PM Finally the watch was available. I specifically asked if it was tested repeatedly since it was held almost two weeks rather than two days. Answer: it was.
6 22 2011 6PM Drive out there. Same broken mechanism that was in it two weeks before. Watch isn't working - hasn't been used in at least a couple days. I shake it to start the self winding and the second hand starts moving, but unlike the previous mechanism the watch does NOT auto adjust to the correct time (the mechanism doesn't include a calendar function). Additionally, the employee is unable to set the date because the winding is broken. He takes watch back and says that it will be at least two days because the repair tech just left on vacation - right after instructing the other employee to call me to pick it up.
6 23 2011 3PM got call that watch was tested for 1 hour and that setting the day had worked the entire time.
6 23 2011 5PM After driving 20 miles out of my way in rush hour traffic for the third time, the employee was unable to demonstrate setting the date - the same mechanism that was broken before was still broken. He offered for me to come back out a fifth time to give them a chance to "look" at it yet again "for a couple days" and I declined - I'm tired of playing the fool. Obviously the one year warrantee is worthless if they are unable or unwilling to actually replace defective parts. So now I am wearing a broken watch because, for now at least, it can at least tell the time.
They sucked away my money and time and insulted me - overall, not a great experience.
