Although Dr Board is a wonderful physician I cant say i am pleased with his office staff. One bad apple will spoil the bunch. The young lady who processes your insurance information is not a great representation of Dr Board or the other staff members so if you happen to make it through the door and past that part of your visit you are certain to be pleased. This is not the first time i have had a problem with her which has compelled me to do a review. The first time i just figured maybe she was having a bad day. Unfortunately her bad days are quite frequent it seems. I watched how she also interracted with other patients and its just simply disgusting how nasty she can get. There is not a warm welcome its rather sign your name and sit down i will get to you. So to get to my issue as of most recent. She wanted to cut the medicaid card from the paper to scan. Thats fine and dandy if you choose but unfortunately she doesnt realize its a piece of paper not a card or plastic which means easily destroyed. I tried to explain its not a simple task to get a replacement and if you have a special needs child you cant afford the risk of losing the medicaid. I prefer it not be cut to compromise can we make a copy and then you can cut and scan it. She declared no. When asked why would that be a problem she stated bc we are a paperless environment and cannot do it. I could see she was unwilling to be assistance w the situation so i decided to reachedule the appointment. She proceeded to want to dispute that if i reschedule she was still going to cut the paper. I told her no i will bring you paper or a copy to cut but i cannot take the risk of losing this medicaid card. She did reschedule me reluctantly and when i asked for a dr excuse for my child missing school she simply gave me a (paper) copy of the excuse with only his name,date, and her signature. There are plenty of other spaces to be filled on the paper that could have explained my sons absence/tardy but she did not fill that portion in. My first thought was to call back and explain to the office manager the mishap but I decided against only bc there is not a large staff there and since this was not my first time having a problem with her rude spirit i didnt want that to come off as if I were the one with the problem. No matter how nice or polite you are to this lady she seems to find a way to supercede with her dry and nasty spirit. I simply love Dr Boards office but i really wish he could fix the bad seed at the door.
Dr. Kiley and Amanda are the DYNAMIC DUO! Amanda made me feel so comfortable about getting such a serious surgery. Dr. Kiley tested, retested, then tested again. He then made me wait 6 weeks to ensure the best results possible with my surgery. He is meticulous! I am only 1 1/2 weeks post; therefore, I am still in the adjustment stage. I still feel like I am dreaming when I wake up in the morning and am able to see! Thank you Dr. Kiley, Amanda, Michelle, and the rest of the team!
I had Lasik done by Dr. Kiley he did an awesome job!!!!! his office took very very good care of me if you haven't had this done you need to go here his nurses are wonderful Michelle she is great she explains everything to you and take care of you thank you Raleigh Eye center for your hard work and I CAN SEE!!!!!!!! :) :)
Amazing Experience with Lasik! – I just had the most wonderful experience with Lasik and it was all because of Dr. Kiley and his amazing staff! I had been considering Lasik for a long time, but I was just so nervous. Would it turn out alright? Would I be happy that I went through with the procedure? Would it hurt???
Lucky for me, I had quite a talented team of professionals to help guide me through the process. Kelley is so knowledgeable and kind. She answered all of my questions and really helped calm my nerves. I had read some scary things about Lasik, but I just knew that I was in good hands with Dr. Kiley. He is an amazingly talented doctor. His skill and experience made me feel confident that I had made the right choice.
The day of surgery couldn't have gone smoother. Dr. Kiley, Kelley, Michelle and Molly were all there to guide me through the procedure step by step. I was nervous, but still confident. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and the procedure was done with such precision and skill that it was over before I knew it! I just had to rest that day and then I was back up and ready to go the next morning.
I now see 20/20 and I couldn't be happier. I no longer have to fumble around for my glasses or worry about wearing my contacts too long. Travel is a breeze now! It's been two weeks since my surgery and life is sweet! I can never thank Dr. Kiley and the team enough for giving me the gift of sight. If you're considering Lasik, then Dr. Kiley is easily the best choice :-)
I trust this doctor and this practice – I have been a patient of Dr. Kiley, and The Raleigh Eye Center for 17 years. I am writing this review because I have seen the other negative reviews and I feel he and his staff deserve far more credit. He did my LASIK surgery 11 years ago. I had been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade and my prescription was very high (-11.5). LASIK surgery changed my life. For the past 11 years I have not had to wear glasses or contact lenses. I could not be happier with my results. My entire family are patients of The Raleigh Eye Center. My daughter, my parents and even my grandparents. This practice truly cares abouth the entire family. This is a busy place with lots of patients and the parking is not the best. But inside this building are the MOST caring eye doctors and staff I have found.
DO NOT VISIT HIM. HE SEES MORE PATIENTS THAN HE CAN HANDLE. WOULD PUT ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE.‎ – I have been visiting Dr. James W. Kiley since 1995 almost everytime I've needed an eye exam. I will NEVER visit him again. My intent during my most recent vist to Dr. Kiley was to have an eye exam and receive a perscription for both glasses and contacts. I had to wait a while, which was fine. However, when Dr, Kylie finally saw me, he made a slapdash, hurried examination and was ready to see the next patient. When I told him I wanted to be fitted for contacts, his response was, "Oh, take the glasses perscription to wherever you get it filled. They'll be able to take care of it from there." Before I could protest, he was out of the room. I am furious. I paid money for Kylie's care, and he gave me less than adequate care. Now I have to pay more money to go to someone else to get contacts. I understand doctors' offices are busy and unforseen things happen while looking at patients, but Dr. Kylie should not take more patients than he can handle. After all, how long should a contact lens fitting take? I had the courtesy to wait for him to show up. The least he could have done was spent five minutes fitting me for lenses. Do not go to this doctor. Do not go to the Raleigh Eye Center.
