I recently visited ReNue because I was given a gift certificate for a half day of pampering. By far the BEST massage I have ever had! Kristyn, the massage therapist, knew all my spots without me even having to tell her. My nails look gorgeous after my mani/pedi and I look 10 years younger after my facial. I thoroughly enjoyed my day there. All the girls there were very friendly and sporting great smiles. I will definitely be back :)
Horrible staff! – I went in the other day to get my hair done I had made a appointment earlier in the week. When I arrived the lady at the front desk was involved in a conversation with another person and did not even greet me when I came in. I stood at the desk for a good 10min waiting for her to finish her conversation she then asked as rude as could be do you need something? I told her I was there for a cut and color and who I was there for, she told me to sit and wait while she got her.
the girl then took me back and all I wanted was a few hi lights and that's it something simple I would think. Well let's just say the girl fried my hair! It turned out white and all nasty filling. I told her this is not what I had in mined I just wanted a few to look like the sun kissed my hair. She then said well let me just put a toner on and it will be that way We went back and she put something all over my hair and then washed it out we went back to the chair she dryed it again and it was GREEN! She told me that is what a toner does and a few days latter it will turn the color I want. I told her it was unexceptable so she then went and got the owner. The owner said it looks great. I then asked her if she could see the green tone in my hair and she said its a little ashy but that will go away so I payed $125 and left. About a week later the color was still GREEN so I called back up there to Speke with the owner and serif they could fix it she was really rude and said no.
So I then called another salon, salon west to see if they could fix it. They were very nice and got me right in. The stylist there took one look at my hair and told me it was over prosesed and I needed a really good deep condition treatment and she put another toner on it and told me not to put any heat on it for about two weeks. She also said she could not believe they let me walk out of the salon with my hair that color! The girl at salon west did her best with what she had and now she will have a life long client!
As far as renue salon goes I will never return and I really don't see how they stay open when the don't care about the client. They are very rude and have no clue what they are doing!
Horrible Customer Service and Owner/Manager – Two years ago I purchased a $105 gift card from Renue Salon. The card had the services that I purchased written on the back of the card and did not have an expiration date. Today, December 23, 2011, I tried to use that card after receiving services. The woman at the front desk said, “These were given out two years ago and you cannot use them.” I told her that it did not have an expiration date and that I would like to use it for the service I just received. She argued with me that they would not take the card as payment. I asked to speak to the manager – she said she was the manager. After treating me disrespectfully and still not accepting the card, she decided to get the owner. The owner proceeded to call me rude and refused to give me the rest of my money back that was on the card. She then sarcastically and rudely wished me a Merry Christmas. I am appalled by the way they treat their customers. If they would have honored the card, I probably would have returned to spend even more money then what the original card had on it. I will never go back there and cannot understand how they keep clientele if this is how they do business. In effect, they stole from me – I purchased a card and now they won’t give me the services I paid for. What is $105 to a business when they would have received double or even triple that when I returned. Sometimes, it is necessary to accommodate the customer for good will as well as for positive word of mouth. As a business owner myself, I would have never treated someone in the way they treated me. The customer is always right and I would honor ALL gift cards if they have not expired! I do feel for the stylists and estheticians as I don’t think they realize that the owner and manager are running their clientele off. Please heed my warning – the owner and manager are thieves!
No Complaints – I went to this Salon earlier this week to get my hair highlighted and cut. I didnt have an appointment, but was able to get in with no wait. Kristen did an amazing job and did exactly what I was hoping for. I didn't feel like just another walk in here. I felt like she really wanted to make sure I left happy. Everyone at Re Nue was very friendly and I will definitely be back!
Great attention to detail – Nice inside - good water pressure.
Great massage – Kala gives a great massage and for only $50!! The spa is clean and the people are friendly. I highly recommend for a gift or for yourself.
