For that trendy teenage girl in your life, this is a shop to buy the latest fashions at bargain prices. – In Short
This chain started humbly in 1962 as a bikini shop named Lorne's in Newport Beach, Calif. By focusing on the tastes of young, trend-conscious female consumers, the small shop evolved into a large corporation. Each store stocks so many inexpensive clothes that one could spend hours sifting through the racks. Shirts come in every style from long-sleeved blouses to tiny tees. It also carries trendy pants, denim, sweaters and skirts plus purses, shoes and accessories.
Don't stand by their clothes! – I recently bought a pair of cool platform shoes at Wet Seal in the Streets at Southpoint mall. I wore them about 5 times over 2 weeks and found the soles had worn out in this period.
I took them back to the store, expecting an exchange or refund, and was sternly told that they do not accept worn clothing items back. I can understand this if someone is trying to return a dress or something, but what if their clothing is defective? (which, it is in this case). They do not stand by the quality of their merchandise at all - I paid $30 for these sandals so I expect them to last longer than the two weeks that they did. I am very disappointed in this store.
