Just Want My Tv Back – I took my 32' Sony to Oak Parks, four months ago. They said they would look at it and give me a call the next day. I never got that call. The second day I called them, and was told they hadn't had a chance to look at it yet. After two weeks of my calling and usually getting the voice mail, I was finally told that my tcom board was bad. By this point I didnt even want to fix it anymore, but they said the part was already ordered and it would be in the next day. The next day no part came. A week and a half of waiting and the part finally came in. I was told it would be installed that day, and ready for pick up the next day. When i arrived at the shop the next day, i was told that they didn't get around to fixing my tv. i'm pretty technically inclined, so i figured i could probibly put the part in myself. when i asked for the tv and the part that i had already paid for, i was told that neither was even at the store. The tech said he would have them bring it in for me, and call when it could be picked up (could tell he was saying anything to get me out of the store). I call and go to the store every other day for a month constantly being told "it's coming", "there's nothing i can do". At that point they started pretending they had no idea who i was or that i had ever had a tv there! lawyers are getting involved as we speak. Save your self the trouble and go somewhere else, these guys are a joke.
Full of SMILES – William from Oak Park Electronics came out to my home a coule weeks ago and fixed my 52in flat screen tv....I was very Happy with my results and he was a very pleasant man....Im def going to use them fagain for any TV problems i have in the future and recommend them to EVERYONE i no:)))) Thank you so much for all ur help....just a FYI, i did my reshurch befor calling anyone and OPE was the Best deal with the BEST results....THanks again, Gloria

Great Company and People – Once again competitors are writing reviews. The review after this one is definately bogus. Oak Park would never charge for any services that were not done and we strive for complete customer satisfaction. It almost looks like a child wrote the review since it repeated itself so much. We give free estimates in the shop and in home usually just the service call of 55 which if repaired would be part of the repair charge, but sometimes no charge at all for in home estimates. For over 35 years in business, we have never had any complaints with the BBB. I trust that you use common sense in reading all reviews. Thanks, Oak Park Electronics Inc.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY !!!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM OAK PARK – Stay as far away from OAK PARK as you can. These people are untrustworthy, incompetent, give you the run around and take money for services not rendered.
Stay far far away unless you want to waste your money for services that are very very poor. they are incompetent but will charge you even if they can not fix the electronics.
I got the run around for 2 months . After 2 months the TV was not repaired and they had the nerve to charge me for services NOT RENDERED. I got the run around for 2 months and to add insult to injury they could not even repair it. But they sure did take my money.
BE AWARE of OAK PARK. AVOID them at all cost.

Dear Mr Kaleel – Last review on Precision TV's page is from Oak Park Electronics, this claim has no merit, This is one of two accusations from Oak Park Electronics that we (Precision TV) has written negative reviews on them. We at Precision TV believe that is unethical and bad business practice and we 100% deny this accusation. As for years we have been recommending Oak Park Electronics for repairing items that we do not service such as camcorder's, microwaves, DVD players and other small electronics, and for the most part Oak Park is one company that we do not get complaints on, which leads us to believe they are a good company, and believe it we do hear plenty of horror stories involving other companies. We will not be recommending Oak Park any longer.
Mr. Kaleel we ask that if there is something that you would like to say or ask regarding Precision TV that you take the high road and contact us directly at 919-342-0308 instead of making false accusations and slandering our great reputation.
It is very strange that now the last review I questioned on from NCSUWOLFPACKER has been removed from your site. That is self explanitory. Until I questioned it, the review stayed.
POOR EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESS – This company should be known for the worst service ever. . I bought a Samsung TV from Circuit City a few years ago and recently started having problems with the set. I called OAK PARK ELECTRONICS to fix the problem. They said it was two panels and should take about 2 weeks times. It is now 3 almost 4 months waiting and still not fixed. They have never called me about the delays. I have always had to call them and they say they will call you back but they don't. According to them the part is now back ordered. I went into the shop to find out the status of the part order, 1st off they could not find my information, 2nd their shop looks like an electronics grave yard. after finally attaining the part numbers. I called samsung to find out that the parts that were needed are readily available. As the owner of a service company I coulnd't imagine that I would be in business long if I used these same practices.. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, if you do don't say I did't tell you so.
CON'S: Poor Communication, Technician seemed unknowledgeable, was lied to on multiple occasions.
This is a competitor.It is Precision TV. We are currently considering our options for a lawsuit against them for their actions.
Great place for your electronics repairs. – I have been taking my electronics to Oak Park Electronics for years, They have always done right by me. Even when it was less expensive to replace than to repair, they never once charged for their time to look at the unit and tell me it would be cheaper to buy new than to fix. When they have fixed, they prices were always quite reasonable (usually less than many of their competitors). If I ever had a problem (rarely) with a unit after one of their repairs, they always took it back and remedied it as quickly as possible. I have recommended the place to others and those who went there were quite pleased with the work and price. BTW, I have been a customer for 20 years.

Review by Ted07 was by competitor – A poor review by Ted07 is further down the list. You can click on the name in blue that wrote the review and see what was done also the same day. Competitor gave bad review and then great review for his company. This is not right. We strive for complete customer service and have never, never asked anyone to write any reviews for us. Old Raleigh Business, STILL at the top of their game!! – I've used Oak Park off and on for electronics repairs for over 30 years. I honestly didn't know they were still out there.
Looked for in home TV repair this morning on Craigslist, lo and behold, OAK PARK was listed!!
Long story short, they had an open 10 AM slot, I got them here at 10, at 11:25 I'm watching my TV and writing this!
Mr Kaleel fixed my 11 y/o 54" Toshiba and it looks better than it has for a few years, even the color is crisper and for a fraction of a NEW much smaller unit. I'd forgotten how good this set once looked.
If you need electronics repairs, call Oak Park, they know their stuff!! And their prices are not abusive either.

Great Customer Service – My Vizio GV47 inch LCD stopped working. I researched the issues on the web and the problem seemed to be a bad control board. I priced the board alone and it would have been over $200 for the parts and shipment and it would have taken over a week. Other research revealed this type of issue generally cost's between $400 to $500 to repair professionally. William the tech trouble shoot the board and found that the whole board did not need to be replaced but simply a capacitor and BT fuse. He fixed the issue with a solder tool and the TV working back in 2 hours. I paid half the price most places would have charged. There would have been no need to replace the whole board, his troubleshooting saved me over $200 dollars.
