Don't be deceived into thinking this is a generic hotel restaurant. The menu changes daily with farmers market fresh ingredients.

not that great – the food was ok. I brought my fiance and her mother in to look for a place to get married. we were not treated rudely per se, but joie de vivre hotels in general are not all they're cracked-up to be in my opinion, and this one was the same.

there was nothing that original about this place that's set up inside what appears to be an old bank building. visually it's ok, but the structure of the building is great where the interior is not doing that justice.

the restaurant which is inside the hotel is noisy and stuffy and it's maybe the best that sacramento has got to offer, but sacramento maybe ought to try harder in light of that.

I consider this restaurant/hotel affair competitive with other decent restaurants/hotels but definitely it is not original in design, and service was a little stiff.

prices for dishes were too much for a full portion, although they appear to make their own pasta so the texture of that is good.

I'd recommend it only if you're stuck, like I am, in sacramento.

compare it maybe to the carlton in san francisco where you get the same stuffy please-em-all staff that makes me uptight, for one.

it's the volvo of restaurants. farty, stuffy, smiling.

fine, I guess, if you're stuck, like I am, in sacramento.

it's a fine place to talk shop. no more than 3 stars, though, all things considered.

I think the grange restaurant might benefit to try a less is more approach to customer service, but what they're doing is not completely wrong.

the place doesn't breathe, for instance, like the viceroy so there's no way it warrants five stars. the design is not good like the good design that you'd find in the standard so it doesn't warrant four stars, either.

Awesome Food, Service and Atmosphere – Grange was a delight to dine at, their attention service and detail was refreshing! Great downtown location that was easy to get to and just as easy to park. The Urban open air feel to the restaurant, was nice without being too loud. We also enjoyed reviewing their extensive California wine list that was broken out by region! The service was on the spot, prompt, yet still relaxed we were left not wanting a thing. The beyond the service and atmosphere, shinning star was definitely the food we were please with all our the dishes, we look forward to returning again soon! Thanks for a wonderful night out!
