Great school for creative types! – The College is a grand place for a creative like me. Sometimes the work is hard but I am more than pleased with my education. Another great thing is they have guest lectures that are varyied and are present at numerous events through the year. It has helped me grow and I can feel it. As I look forward to graduating, I also have definitely enjoyed my college career at Living Arts College.

Joke of a 'College", SHADY " Director of Education" – This place is a Joke. They want one thing...MONEY. The current director of education claims to be a "doctor" and sexually harasses his staff while the VP of the school is a drunk who looks like she should be on a broom or in a casket. Do yourself a favor and pick a real school. You WILL be abused here.

A joke with no punchline – This school is a business. They are not a school. Their main focus is to get you in the door. Their "Medical Arts" program is a perfect example. What does medical filing and billing have to do with art? Money. They want your money and they will whore themselves however they can to get it.

* They are currently undergoing renovations to the outside while the equipment inside falls apart.

* Their application process is a joke, if you can manage to sign your name at the X you are in.

* Are you a convicted criminal? No problem! This is the only school around with no background check. Thugs and psychopaths welcome!

* Like racism? this school is perfect for you. No matter what color you are you will be alienated!

On the other hand, like any other school in the world, there are a handful of hardworking, talented people in this building. But you will hardly notice them with the hordes of mediocrity in the way.

Do yourself a favor and look into going to a real university, you may find they are cheaper, and offer a higher standard of education. There are also many fine tutorials and online schools out there. For instance, Full Sail Offers an online bachelors program that is cheaper, and they give you a decent laptop, with all the software you need.

No matter what school you decide to go to, RESEARCH them! Ask who the teachers are and look at their portfolios. Be skeptical. And remember, just because something is expensive it doesn't mean it's better!

My review; no free lunch, so why hate? – I go here and could not disagree enough with the last post. LAC costs almost the same as any other college degree? Some of staff are sorta interesting but I am in a CREATIVE program! The professors are great and helpful and it's a fun place to go to college. I am learning every day and hope winter semester is just as good!

I am proud to say that I have had a great experience at Living Arts College. I studied animation and video games. I feel each instructor is unique and has something of great quality to bring to the table. All of them are well informed, experienced and ready to answer my questions. Some of them are very tough though nurturing and really believe in what they are teaching.

Portfolio development happens over many quarters and not just in one class, even though there is a class for it. They give us the tools to venture out and find our place.

THE EXPERIENCE – I ENJOYED MY EXPERIENCE at the school! people sometimes are going to school for university or they are looking for a more personal experience and LAC is the second not the first. LAC allowed me to concentrate on what I needed to learn and getting a job what I enjoy doing. we learned a lot in the Graphics, Film and Special Effects classes. quickly loading footage into the editing program, added a little special effects to go with the rest of the title scene and they were done and ready to go. they also showed us mounting equipment that is used to help keep steady and smooth moving footage while recording. I like the classes and they keep it interesting.
