Dishonest business practices.
I wish I could rate this business with no stars.
I signed up about 2 years ago before I got married (I was trying to get a nice tan before the big event). To get the lower monthly rate, salesperson Eric Bowman convinced me to sign up for the 24 month plan ($34.95/month), telling me that I could cancel my membership at any time, without penalty.
He also said I could change rate plans anytime I wanted. The next month or so, I upgraded to a $54.95/month plan to be able to use the higher-end tanning beds. After the wedding, I tried to cancel my plan and was told I would have to pay 50% of what I signed up to pay them to end my contract, which the salesperson calculated as being around $650. I tried to switch to a lower monthly rate and was told I couldn't.
I felt duped by Eric and told the salesperson that he had lied to me but she said if I signed the contract, I was legally bound to it. I went home and re-read my contract and sure enough there was a line that said - I understand that my agreement is absolutely non cancelable - and another line said, - I understand that no other verbal agreements have been made to me other than what's been stated on this agreement.
I felt swindled but thought I had no recourse against this underhanded business practice because I had signed a contract. I reported it to the Better Business Bureau and am currently waiting to receive a check from At The Beach (which was promised to me over 8 weeks ago). This just goes to further solidify how poorly run At the Beach is as a company and how little regard they hold for their customers.
Bottom line: go somewhere else, like The Palms tanning resort. I've never had a problem there and they have never treated me with disrepsect. And the employees aren't pushy
Disagree with ALL the positive posts. I'm honestly surprised that everyone "loves" At The Beach. The only reason I go there is because the location is convenient. The staff is pushy and are always trying to sell you lotion or packages. I also think their prices are a rip off. I've been tanning for many years and I have never been to a tanning salon that forces me to sign such an overwhelming contract. All I wanted was a simple monthly fee, but instead I was forced to sign up for a month-to-month package at $28 dollars for the most basic bed. I also find that they do not have enough beds so I end up waiting. Lastly, the staff rarely smiles or greets me with sincerity. Several times I went in and one staff member was on the phone the entire time!!!!! All he did was move the phone from his ear to speak with me. As I said before- the ONLY reason I bought a package here was because of its convenient location. After my 1 month ends, I am going to look for a new place to tan.
Love this Location. I love how the Lowry ATB store is. The employees are great, helpful and help me with all of my tanning needs.
Great Place to TAN!!. I used to tan at another tanning store in Denver. At The Beach is much cheaper and they have far better beds! Plus their staff is much nicer.
Love ATB TAnning. Staff here is great and the managers do a wonderful job!

Awesome Place To TAN!!!!!. I love tanning at “At The Beach”. It is the best place to tan in Denver. Not only do they have the best beds available but they have so many of them that you get immediate service. Thank you ATB!!!!
ATB. I have been a member with ATB for around 3 ½ years. I love how they offer memberships that allow you to tan unlimited!!!
Great Tanning!!!. Love the tanning products that they offer. Cypher and Matahari are my favorite. The staff is always so sweet and helpful!!
Great Locations All Over Denver Metro. This is one of my favorite locations. Everything is clean and works great. I have never had to wait!!! The Staff is helpful, friendly and awesome!!!!
