Unique Dining Experience – If you are looking for some home cooked Southern food with a twist, Foster's Market is the place to go. Daily specials are one of a kind, fresh, & tasty. Sandwiches are big enough to share & all topped with fresh ingredients. Do not miss out on the Triangle's very best desserts either!
Nice Scene, Good Food – I live close by so I find myself here fairly frequently. The food is good, yet never as good as the menu promises - all the ingredients are there. Of particular disappointment is the breakfast burrito, which is easy to make but often comes out dry. Perhaps the owners are attempting to stay health conscious by omitting cheese and sour cream. For shame! Maybe they should try using more of those expensive specialty goods they sell. Still, it's a good spot to sit outside and have a snack. Friendly staff.
this restaurant is living on a reputation that should have died when it lost the majority of its talented kitchen staff a number of years ago... staff now is rude and slow, the food is average on a good day, the prices are ridiculous, and the seating is terrible. I suppose it would be a good hang out for students wanting just coffee and a place to study but if you want to eat good food in a pleasant atmosphere it is not worth your time.
SOOOOO GOOD – Seating is crazy, but worth it. The Cobb Sandwich is really good. Lemon pound cake to take home is a must! And the New York style crumb cake is a good choice too!
Completely overrated – The last time I was lunching at Foster's with my mother, I said, "If I ever suggest this again, remind me how much it annoys me." The food is ok, not outstanding, but it's fine; but the "ambience" is awful. The place is completely disorganized, everything takes a long time, it's loud, there is no traffic flow or mob control, and it's total chaos everywhere you look. I can make everything they have on their menu at home, so why bother with the headaches?
Fresh, hip – Great dash in for coffee and desserts. The soups, pies and cakes are the strength of Fosters. Avoid the sandwiches.
great sandwich – I am always on the lookout for good vegetarian cuisine. I highly recommend Foster's veggie sandwiches.
