My dad went to a Waffle House with two of his coworkers yesterday morning
after a late night shift at work. My dad's coworkers are African American
and he is Caucasian. The cook was African American. When the waitress put
in the orders, the cook made my dads coworkers food and when the waitress
asked about my fathers food he said "I AINT COOKING THAT WHITE MANS FOOD!".
Then the waitress had to cook the food for my father. He is having a hard
time dealing with this emotionally. He is a very sweet man and loved by all
who know him. My family is currently seeking council for this matter and we will see this through. This behavior must be stopped.
From pecan waffles to legendary hash browns, breakfast fare rules at this homey 24-hour chain restaurant--but don't miss the chili. – In Short
Since 1955, this Atlanta-based chain has welcomed an all-hours crowd of shift workers, suits, regulars and late-night partiers with comfy booths and an extensive menu of Southern-accented home-style grub. Waffles (pecan or regular) are the restaurant's most popular dish. Other breakfast favorites include porterhouse T-bone steak and eggs, country ham, and signature hash browns cooked seven ways, from smothered with onions to topped with chili or cheese. Another bargain is the bowl of chili, which comes topped with onions, ham and cheese.
